Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
now, time for the anchor post, followed by a smooth exit.
Off for my 6th day in a row of hardcore boardgaming/terraforming mars.
TM with all expansions and a shitton of fan-made expansion of dubious balance levels is quite something.
Cya later suckers.

Obviously Terraforming Mars ranks up there for you. I've been curious about it for awhile. There's so few of us that game that we wind up taking the expensive plunge of purchasing to try.
Supposed to boardgame tomorrow night. Not sure if my kid and his partner is joining us or not. Might be 2, might be 5. If it's only 2, my friend coming over is a big Civil War buff so we might break out A House Divided again.
Otherwise, thinking Pandemic, Powergrid, or Eldritch Horror. Couple of the zombie games are good to...Last Night on Earth.

I guess I'll have to view any town behaviour as suspicious

I don't have much to say about the flavour, because I don't know anything about Magic the Gathering.
So, ermmm, I choose Pikachu!

Hmmm, you don't think we should vote Kak for feeling like Kak trying to be Kak?

Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
By the way, what does it mean for a setup to be open, semi-open, or closed?
Does open mean players can drop in and get assigned roles at any time?

Re: M82: Magic the Gathering Mafia [Game Thread]
Open means you know exactly what roles and mechanics are in play. This is most games.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 4:46 pmBy the way, what does it mean for a setup to be open, semi-open, or closed?

Semi-open means you know what selection of roles there are, but don't know which specific ones are in play. E.g., you know that there could be any two-way combination of doctor, cop, tracker.
Closed means that you don't know the setup.

Mark sipped his mountain dew.
Gary looked at his deck, and thought: "357 cards and I cant get any stinking lands. How is Mark doing this well?
Gary was down to 11 life. He watched Mark pull out a 9/9 with Trample.

Kakarroto (3) Bonatogether sweetandcool Vecna
damo666 (2) Hamilton Brian Foxcastle
Vecna (1) ghug
ghug (1) damo666
Non-votes: BunnyGo, Kakarroto. rdrivera2005, worcej
Gary looked across the room at Susie, she was winning her game.
"damn, I wanted to play Susie..."
Currently Kakarroto is due to be eliminated
Around 28 hours remain in Day 1

If we were 3 hours and change away from the deadline, I'd say we vote out one of the non-voters, but we're really down to 27 and change.
Or I could go the Gen X vs Gen Z route and vote Bona. I'll keep that in mind as I make that transition from the joke Damo vote.

Sorcery
Each creature you control gets +3/+3 until end of turn and must be blocked this turn if able.
"A single tree does not a forest make. We are stronger when we stand together."
- Numa, Joraga chieftain.
That really is a good town sentiment!

Hiya Kak!
What fanciful tale are you whipping up for us now?
Any thoughts on your being lead wagon on Day 1?
Disperse:
Return target nonland permanent to its owner's hand.
"Gryffid scowled at the sky. A perfect day for the hunt tainted by clouds. He wished them gone. High above, the clouds looked down, scowled, and made a wish of their own."
