Yeah I think maybe ghug is thinking more historically vs recentlysweetandcool wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 3:57 pmActually, it feels like to me that we are too paranoid of bussers. It was a big problem M79, I don't recall for M80, and during the last mini I recall busser paranoia preventing town from killing scum once or twice.
Not that I'm advocating not considering it now.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
Haha no I think this one was a Christmas gift
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
The fact is that when we catch scum D1, there's usually bussing involved. Damo and HB were both actively involved in that EoD and nobody else has been super lurky. That's almost always enough for scum to get town killed unless they want to send one of their own over.
D2 is a different story. I think the early voters on that damo wagon look pretty good (in fact I'm cooling on my sweet takes because he cast a pretty key vote in making damo viable and then jumped onto me, limiting any cred he could get from the bus).

I mean, all 3 of you have basically acted in exactly the way id expect 3 scums to act.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 4:00 pmI am very ticklish.
Look, the votes look bad for me. I get it. I think damo's defense of me D1, if you actually go read what he's saying, is not something he'd do with a scum teammate, but other than that really all you have is my behavior and I don't think it's that unreasonable not to trust it. We haven't even used a miskill yet. It's ok if I die.
The game's not going to end, though, so if you're set on killing me at least use the time you still have with me to help me figure out who it is if it's not me.
Imagine, poor damo and HB both saw their inspirational scumteamleader up for chops D1. Not only that, but they were both up for the axe as well.
PANIC!
Both damo and HB were acting in unison to let me or chaqa overtake the other 3 wagons. You were also acting in unison with that, trying to create hype to kill Chaqa.
There is no other outcome here. You have to die in about 7 hours.
Your play is too good, we cannot trust it or your words. We can only judge your actions.
And they scream scum.

And even if its not the case, its not like ill survive this night or the night after.
And people never listen to the dead.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
Vecna is my leading vote tomorrow.
The arguement that scum voted for him is null. There were three votews and two were scum. It was all theatre. They knew he wasn't in trouble and would srop all momentum when they left. HB and damo split pressure, and damo even played wagon hopscotch to try to fake more momentum onto Chaqa.
Vecan was a lead pusher of the scum counterwagon, and hammered D3.
The peg fits the hole perfectly.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
The ghug paradox is that when he is mafia; at least from what ive seen is that he discourages townies from bad pushes on people.
he does this both to the benefit of his partners and to mimic his town meta where he just takes obstinate stances and likes to argue talking points.
In a recent game he would defend his scum partner pyxxy for making what I deemed a scummy catchup post. And ghug would say he found the catchup post towny; and even after the game he would argue that his scum partners scummy list was indeed towny and looked sincere. Basically he is very good at primarily convincing himself first of the reasons why his partners are not scum.
and this could be evidenced by his refusal to accept any case on Hamilton Day 1. Or instances of his refusal to pursue damo despite damo saying ghug was outted.
On the other side of the coin ghug also helps town sometimes when he is scum to the benefit of his meta. he prefers to shoot down bad reads just for the sake of being true to what he would do. and over time when you are mafia this benefits you because it forces players to respect those opinions as being potentially real.
I wanna say ghug is scum here and the end of the game is imminent.
The town ghug from M80 is a thorn in the side of people with poor vision of the game and he was mostly a bit more out of the loop in that game /outside looking in at a towncore. Not a PR. he wasnt on very solid footing until claims and seeetandcool saved him and won town the game catching almost every single
mafia by himself.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
I think that Damo not even tryng to defend himself and Mafia choosing to kill Aaro means that either they are toast (Ghug is the third one) or they have a deep threat and this game will be a hard one after a very good start.

I'm pretty much 100% opposed to a ghug vote, but I also have no clue who the final mafia could be. We have a lot of shots at it, though, which is good.

you can park your vote on me. well flip ghug and just win the game in the meanwhile.
ive said since n1 that the remaining 2 scum are ghug and damo. and that everyone else was varying degrees of town. aaro was the only cw to scum on d2 and my vote certainly wasnt there.

If you kill ghig, I am either right, or I win. And if I am right, I will be absolutly crusading for your head.

When Hamilton first voted Vecna, the wagon was Ezio/aaro/Jamie and he put him in the lead.DemonRHK wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 4:20 pmVecna is my leading vote tomorrow.

since youve only voted damo you can still do the same thing (minus eradicating HB).
too bad youre about to fuck up a flawless record.
