Like, yeah, that's always possible. This game wouldn't be fun if we were always right. I think he's our best bet currently.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:49 pmIs it not possible that aaro is just having a poor game?ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:46 pm##VOTE aaroaarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:35 pm
A very large portion of my perspective became colored by the asymmetric information and it’s hard for me to really make any reads to begin with on D1.
It just feels like the argument for aaro being scum has been that they've done a whole lot of nothing. AKA we don't like their play so far. Which is a fine reason to vote them off, because if we are wrong then it isn't the hugest loss.
But everytime we do that, I feel like we keep making a MK.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
So this is funny but in M63 when Aaro was town cop, they voted 1 person day 1 and never left.
there are no posts in day 1 where aaro said someone was town, but there are posts where aaro seems to say it differently.

most of what aaro spent his time on was trying to find scumreads. he did not focus at all on finding townreads there.Does this read as angry to you? This seems pretty normal for celaph's tone from last game

I assume you are basing this on aaro's claim that I am his partner. Why do you assume aaro is telling the truth?ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:54 pmSo, re: fakeclaiming.
First, I knew it was always confirmable because at least four of us knew I was lying. Given that, and that doing shit is fun and gets conversation rolling, I didn't see any reason not to. I kind of expected to be shot down quickly and for us to massclaim.
Once I wasn't shot down, I thought about it a little and decided it was worthwhile to keep going because:
a) There was a decent chance scum knew I was lying and most of town didn't, so reactions would be interesting. This did not amount to anything, or at least I've missed where it did.
b) I became convinced fairly quickly that keeping the exact identities of the T/T pairings hidden was pro-town, and on the off chance all four of us were town, that was a pretty good value add.
I don't see any scum-specific motivations for this, but it's certainly possible I'd do it as scum anyway for shits and giggles and to seem like my priorities were shits and giggles.
One point of interest is that damo knew I was lying and defended me hard yesterday. I really don't know what to make of that.

The scum-specific motivation would be to push a mass claim while maintaining plausible deniability. I agree that keeping it a secret isn’t scum indicative. Or at least 4 of are scum.ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:54 pmSo, re: fakeclaiming.

I owe you no apology for anything I've done. Stop acting like Durga and taking my commentary as a personal attack on you - it never was.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 4:46 pmExplain how me reacting more to Chaqa's memes would have been "consequential"?
You seem to think I am scum for not being angry and not telling Chaqa off for posting some memes. This is nonsense.
You should apologise to me, Worcej.

What I was trying to say is that considering at least 4 of us were lying, it doesn’t make sense to assign “kept the pairs a secret” any alignment since it would
Implicate 4 of us. I guess you could but I don’t think it’s meaningful.

Potentially - I am not immune to thinking your possibly town, but I hard disagree with everyone championing you as town for that vote considering it was effectively naked other than your concern on BB and then your 3rd to last post was to try to get BB before HB.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 6:14 pmIf I was bussing I would have been voting and pushing HB sooner.

I hope ya'll will explain the fake-claiming shenanigans to all of the slavering idiots in the back of the classroom. I am totally lost as to what fruits it has borne. I do not understand the current fingerpointing and I'm hoping the current fingerpointers make a coherent and understandable case.
