Ghug and your dance partner are my current top suspects.
Follow my lead, pal (:
how wild would this be if the team was hamilton-ghug-s&c. and sweet thinks that what you have to do is bus to distance. this is, after all a first time ever being scum if thats the case

ghug is hand holding S&C trying to say, "dude no, dont push bb, we dont do that, bb will focus on you if you do that"ghug wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 12:07 amI think he's arguing that town are more likely to make the anti-town play because they haven't thought through the scum perspective unless they're me.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 12:06 amAh, I see what you are doing now. I struggle with seeing sincerity in alot of these posts. Either it is a sad and unlikely coincidence, or you are town reading anyone who supports an anti-town agenda.
Your manner, supports the latter case.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
This is one of the worst read lists I’ve seen in a while. There’s absolutely nothing of substance in it.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 6:46 amUnsolicited Reads List
Town:
chaqa
rdr
worcej
Jamiet
brainbomb
Neutral:
ghug
RHK
Null:
Vecna
damo
Mafia:
Ezio
aaro
Reviewing lots of threads and I would like to hear more from Vecna about their feel for the game so far, particularly their dance partner, Ezio. Any insights?
I also really want to see more from RHK, I haven't gotten a feel for what they are currently thinking.
And despite listing aaro under Mafia, I do wonder if aaro is just instead superbly underperforming Town? D1 can easily go poorly, but there's always the chance that D2 gives the jolt people who struggle with D1 need. The same goes for damo, I think damo needs at least another day to breath and possibly impress.
I'm also wondering if we are giving worcej too much credit and that we should be looking at them more closely?
Most particularly, I worry that Ezio just had bad reads D1 and Ham opportunistically supported them. If that is true, then that really opens up the suspect pool.
I think there’s also been a narrative that I’ve had a bad D1. what does this even mean? It feels like an attempt to push votes to me without actually saying anything.
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
im gonna table thinking about sweetandcool for now. because the only scum pair ive ever considered for ghug all game was s&C and it seems like no one thinks thats ever possible now so, I should just read ghug in isolation perhaps.

I’ve been saying it for a while, but I think the most likely scum pair is ghug and damo.

Out of curiosity, how much of the “and your dance partner” versus “HB” talk is there to avoid iso searches?brainbomb wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 1:11 pmsweetandcool wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 11:51 pmPlease no.

I think the most important bit of information right now is a list of exactly who claimed partners. And in what order.

I’d really appreciate it if someone can skim through and compile this. If not, I’ll try to do it after work (which isn’t for like 12 hours).aarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 1:37 pmI think the most important bit of information right now is a list of exactly who claimed partners. Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
Hamiltons M63 reads list revisitation:
Now compare to current game:
And then he does it again in the Green, using Jamie as a difference check vs damo, ezio, vecna; but from the larger control group it seems like a scum would be there perhaps too.
So, studying this Im wondering if the difference check is more important than the forcing a buddy into his towncore. meaning chaqa and worcej and myself is not the data point to focus on at all
Not listed: brainbomb readAnd, as a matter of a starting point in letting you all know where I stand, there is this:
Reads as of D2. Definitely fluid and not ossified.
Tier 1 (would definitely not kill): President Eden, Jamie, myself
Tier 2 (would need a very convincing case to kill): aaro, worcej/durga, RDR
Tier 3 (ambivalent, could kill, could keep alive): bona, bozo, brain, celaph, damo, flum, emc, ghug, HR,
Tier 4 (remove them already): bunny, chaqa, donny, vecna
President Eden and Jamie: both fervent, big writing with explicit details, hammering for information. Emotion.
Bozo: drives me crazy; pulled the coloured font business. Usually comes in with a big analytical reason for a decision, or to refute town’s decisions. Not seeing it thus far, but I think they’re a mid-game person. So, still waiting.
Ghug: Not sure what I am reading from them. Need to go back to some D2 posts that caught my eye, but right now, very null.
Now compare to current game:
This fits with the idea that Hamilton crafts his reads lists by putting a scum partner in a difference check with someone from town.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 3:05 pmBrainbomb is doing the king's work with the pushing. I think that's a feather in their cap at this point. +town
Worcej is going back and forth with the anti-claimants. It's coming off as fenuine and I also lump them in with town thus far. +town
ghug, rivera have put their thoughts in but I haven't got a gut sense of their work thus far.
jamie (uncharacteristically, until this morning) has been lowkey but picking up. Damo, ezio, vecna samesies.
Chaqa with the image posts...ugh. That's probably infuriatingly town? Or does chaqa want to get miskilled early?

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
@brain that list from Hb is missing several players in it. One of them (kak) he immediately follows up and adds.
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
Brain: agitating, erratic, but then some subtle notes contained within like the idea of aaro and S&C NOT being scum together. I think a decent observation about how mafia would sit back while the rest of us deliberate the pros cons of mech. Essentially throwing nets out to see what's caught. Townlean.
Ghug: many posts and engaging with a few players, but nothing that jumps out to me that screams town. My heart always wants to townlean ghug but this is a very ambivalent feel right now.
Sweet and Cool: heavily invested in the mechs. I think history suggests, sometimes, mafia when that is the case. Offers feels but without much substance. Push push push.
Aaro: lots of early energy on the mechs; hits out at brainbomb for the "boredome" and poking of players. Am I interpreting some defensiveness about their thinking on the mechs? I don't think mafia would "play" this badly and overtly, but it's not a townlean.
Worcej: again, getting embroiled in the mech stuff and then kind of drifts off. I think worcej is at their strongest when they elaborate and/or press other players. I thought I saw it last night but in a reread I am less secure in it. I'd townlean worcej based on pro-claiming but it'd be stronger when I see the confident play. I'll townlean for now.
Jamie: Had a time with Jasmine which interrupted mafia attention. I am still smarting from the inattention. I like what they've done after getting in here today, but there's a lower energy that what I feel like I am used to seeing. Many interactions with brain, ghug, and ezio. Not sure it's bringing light to anything. I'd call them a null read at this point.
Ezio: I think this is my second game with Ezio so there's not a lot to go on. Pro-claiming so some towncred in that regard. Interactions seem amiable. Another null as nothing really jumps out at me.
Chaqa: the mememaster, which is hurting my head. I wouldn't mafialean them because mafia wouldn't be so overt (or would they be). It's like he's asking to be eliminated. That doesn't make sense though given the strength of their play. Townlean just on account of mafia not being that bad?
Kak: They started out well yesterday, taIled off. Bulk of their content was mech. Then comes the disappearing act. Hell, Vienna is beautiful this time of year. Null to mafialean.
Rivera: short on posts, which is de rigeur for rdr. As I read their posts I feel like there's a hesitancy and forced engagement. null to mafialean.
Vecna: Was Vecna the parrot many games ago? I will say I mafialean Vecna here and pay attention to the shading of brain and jamie.
Damo: still hungover? Maybe drop a vote on Damo to put them out of their misery.
Just noticing something, but when did damo claim to be drunk?
