Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
I moved back to Chaqa at :24 seeing rdrivera wasnt happening and my distrust of chaqa was still high. I trusted ghug there and saw it was a viable option.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
1. Why did you expect a Rdrivera wagon to happen when you didn't explain your vote for him, and did nothing to actually push a wagon? Your last read on Rdrivera before that vote (on Page 33) listed him as Town.
2. Why do you trust Ghug?
3. When you checked back in at 0:24 did you just look at the bot or did you read a single post that had been posted since your Rdrivera vote?
Potato, potato; potato.

1. I was chat partners with rivera and didnt want to talk a ton about that for fear that my theories were just tinfoiling my chat partnerJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 3:43 pm1. 2. ghug push on chaqa felt against the grain and I had issues with chaqa too. I had ghug as town almost all day 1 and preferred he not die.
3. I saw some of the thread. I saw the bot and saw chaqa was still viable. I saw your posts demanding I explain myself and I deliberately ignored them because I was busy and didnt give a shit

I saw ezio saying rdrivera might be scum for being weird.
I was suspect of rivera for showing up out of nowhere and sheeping chaqa
I thought rivera had been gone alot and was mostly fixated on ghug all phase, and all things ghug was saying my direction

I wonder if the ghost of Hamilton Brian is going to send us a message?
When we die, do we haunt the sky?
Do we lurk in the murk of the seas?
What then? Are we born again?
Just to sit asking questions like these?

Ezio, the "dodgy little worm" whose votes you said you "hated"?
That Ezio?
You thought he was going to lead a charge on Rdrivera, your dance partner, and you'd better get on board?

and yea the reason I scumread ezio is that his posts dont match his actions. He will claim to be scumreading someone, drives up a wagon and then leaves it as evidenced in my casework.
He has good posts that I resonate with, and then he abandons those stances at opportune times to push elsewhere. He flutters around. He is a dodgy worm. His post about rdrivera much like his post about sweetandcool resonated with me. It made me rethink the game.
And then he does absolutely nothing to join the rivera wagon and actually make it a thing. I thought maybe since it was the second time around with agreeing with him he would join me. and he didnt.

I would refute the charge that I did nothing to make a wagon happen.
the vast majority of players on this forum use end of day for speedwagons where they dont state their reasons why they are doing what they are doing. this isnt foreign territory. ghug, eden, chaqa, damo, myself, bozo, and numerous others will move votes around without any reasoning supplied at all. especially as an end of day rolls up. This is extremely standard webdip play.
I hate it and also love aspects of it. because when youve worked for 47 hours to push your ideas, adjust them, mould them, form them, rethink them, build them, challenge them, present them, its super fucking annoying to then have a bunch of jackasses kill donny because on page 15 he maybe scum slipped. (example)
And I draw the distinction here in that my move to rivera was out of paranoia that he is my chat partner, hes actively trying to save chaqa or vecna or ghug there, and is pushing a case I worked hard on, but he never credited my case or commented or alluded to it at all. So fuck yea I got suspicious of rivera there

So then, are you of the opinion that Ezio and HB were coordinating to push against sweetandcool and RHK?brainbomb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 4:22 pmand yea the reason I scumread ezio is that his posts dont match his actions. Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
I think as shown in my casework that Ezio was driving up wagons on vecna, wanted a wagon on kak, but also wanted to shade people like aaro for voting for kak. He also wanted to shade rivera for voting HB, and ultimately I think he pushed you, he then backed away when he formed a wagon on you, and tried to buddy you by giving you time to craft reads; wherein he then moved his line of shading to blatant ghug buddying, while also claiming worcej was a golden god.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 4:28 pmSo then, are you of the opinion that Ezio and HB were coordinating to push against sweetandcool and RHK?brainbomb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 4:22 pmand yea the reason I scumread ezio is that his posts dont match his actions. which made no sense, like why are you buddying ghug, and following ghug on damo, while also saying worcej is playing great *when worcej wants to kill ghug*.

I dont think ezio tried to coordinate an effort to push RHK at all. I think he ignored the RHK side of the case and attacked you (sweetandcool) instead of even actually addressing the RHK stuff.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
GM NOTE:
Some clarification concerning private chats is required by various callGMs.
• All players, irrespective of live/dead or town/mafia status, have a private log they can see and post in at any time which serves as a way to send spec chat their thoughts.
• All players can see at all times the “intercom” channel which I use to send updates to all players (ex, opening/closing chats). Players cannot post there.
• A living town player with a living partner can see their partner chat at any time and post in their partner chat at night only.
• A living mafia player with a living partner can see their partner chat and the mafia chat at any time and can post in both at night only.
• A living town player with a dead partner can see their partner chat and the singles chat at any time, but can only post in the singles chat, and only at night.
• A living mafia player with a dead partner can see their partner chat, the singles chat, and the mafia chat at any time, but can only post in the singles chat and the mafia chat, and only at night.
• A dead town player can see their partner chat, the singles chat, and the ghost chat at any time, but can only post in the ghost chat (and can post there at any time). This player, each night, may draft one 100 character message for the GM to post in the singles chat at EON.
• A dead mafia player can see their partner chat, the singles chat, the mafia chat, and the ghost chat, but can only post in the ghost chat (and can post there at any time). This player, each night, may draft one 100 character message for the GM to post in the singles chat at EON.
• Chat histories are preserved from night to night, so for example, someone who is added to the singles chat at EON3 can see messages from N1 as soon as they join.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
So I'm looking at the timeline and Ezio's 2nd post is agreeing with your case on RHK and expressing approval about your suspicion of sweetandcool.
You reply that you haven't made the case yet, but looking through your posts you had been railing against RHK, sweetandcool, and Aaro and nobody else (you mention Jamiet, Vecna, and Ezio as lurkers but don't pursue a case).
And you wrote one or two pretty fleshed out logical cases against RHK an sweetandcool. So while you might not have presented what you would consider a case, I think Ezio agreeing with your case isn't strange in-itself (you reply to their approval by pointing out it was strange that they were agreeing with a case you hadn't made).
13 minutes and 3 posts later, HB makes a post also supporting you and the anti RHK and sweetandcool stance.
How does this not look like either:
1. A coordinated push between Ezio and HB
2. HB opportunistically taking advantage of a bad read from Brainbomb and Ezio
In either case, it supports the idea that your reads were bad at that point in the game.

rivera2005 is saying he thinks ghug tried to save HB in our chat
and he credited my case about HBs bad readslist as the reason why he voted HB and said I deserve some credit.

You've done quite a lot to explain your behaviour at EoD, thank you. I have no further questions, though nor am I entirely convinced.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
I think a reasonable amount of us put HB near the tops of our list because of your argument. So yes, I think you deserve plenty of credit.
Unfortunately, you didn't stick with the vote, so there is some town paranoia that it was a bus gone wrong.

You could replace every instance of the word "Ezio" with the word "Brainbomb" in this post and most of it would appear accurate.brainbomb wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 4:22 pmand yea the reason I scumread ezio is that his posts dont match his actions.
