Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
SO I was playing it out the scenarios, and at this time, I see no advantage or disadvantage to mass claim. I am still not in support of doing it, but I don't see any anti-town parts to it. If the singles chat did not carry over, then mass claim would have been anti-town.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
Where I am sitting right now, and like brain said earlier, hate a read of mine, wait five minutes.
So, these are gut reads in the order of post volume.
Brain: agitating, erratic, but then some subtle notes contained within like the idea of aaro and S&C NOT being scum together. I think a decent observation about how mafia would sit back while the rest of us deliberate the pros cons of mech. Essentially throwing nets out to see what's caught. Townlean.
Ghug: many posts and engaging with a few players, but nothing that jumps out to me that screams town. My heart always wants to townlean ghug but this is a very ambivalent feel right now.
Sweet and Cool: heavily invested in the mechs. I think history suggests, sometimes, mafia when that is the case. Offers feels but without much substance. Push push push.
Aaro: lots of early energy on the mechs; hits out at brainbomb for the "boredome" and poking of players. Am I interpreting some defensiveness about their thinking on the mechs? I don't think mafia would "play" this badly and overtly, but it's not a townlean.
Worcej: again, getting embroiled in the mech stuff and then kind of drifts off. I think worcej is at their strongest when they elaborate and/or press other players. I thought I saw it last night but in a reread I am less secure in it. I'd townlean worcej based on pro-claiming but it'd be stronger when I see the confident play. I'll townlean for now.
Jamie: Had a time with Jasmine which interrupted mafia attention. I am still smarting from the inattention. I like what they've done after getting in here today, but there's a lower energy that what I feel like I am used to seeing. Many interactions with brain, ghug, and ezio. Not sure it's bringing light to anything. I'd call them a null read at this point.
Ezio: I think this is my second game with Ezio so there's not a lot to go on. Pro-claiming so some towncred in that regard. Interactions seem amiable. Another null as nothing really jumps out at me.
Chaqa: the mememaster, which is hurting my head. I wouldn't mafialean them because mafia wouldn't be so overt (or would they be). It's like he's asking to be eliminated. That doesn't make sense though given the strength of their play. Townlean just on account of mafia not being that bad?
Kak: They started out well yesterday, taIled off. Bulk of their content was mech. Then comes the disappearing act. Hell, Vienna is beautiful this time of year. Null to mafialean.
Rivera: short on posts, which is de rigeur for rdr. As I read their posts I feel like there's a hesitancy and forced engagement. null to mafialean.
Vecna: Was Vecna the parrot many games ago? I will say I mafialean Vecna here and pay attention to the shading of brain and jamie.
Damo: still hungover? Maybe drop a vote on Damo to put them out of their misery.
Nobody wants to be here and nobody wants to leave.

Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
I’m pretty sure I have at least one scenario where it hurts town to partner claim. I have a few others I’m mulling over as well. That said, I do agree that singles chat not carrying over makes it a lot murkier though.DemonRHK wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:19 amSO I was playing it out the scenarios, and at this time, I see no advantage or disadvantage to mass claim. I'll be interested to hear that thought in the post game. It is laikely I am missing avenues by just going hard one way or the other when simming, and only doing worst case.aarodactyl wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:32 amI’m pretty sure I have at least one scenario where it hurts town to partner claim. Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
Hi ya. I am feeling the same way. I see it one way and I am having a difficult time seeing the negative play. Fair play to aaro if they do indeed see a scenario where it hurts town. It's either trust them for that statement and hope for the best or declare them an obfuscator detrimental to town.
I am ready to put that to bed for the time being.
So Demon, who are three people you'd not feel bad about killing D1? The whys would be nice but I also know it's going to be scant given it's day 1 and we're playing with D1 unformation.

I’ll post an explanation of the scenario in mind to my god thread channel in the discord with the text “for post game” so it’s easy to find when this is all over.

I feel like sweet has been confrontational in a non-town manner. I think he's had more than one 'me2frfr' on other pushes that seemed lazy. One of these was at me, so OMGUS is not out of the question.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:46 amSo Demon, who are three people you'd not feel bad about killing D1? Jamie is unusually calm from my POV. I would usually expect him to have lost his temper with someone at this point, but the late phase time could be pushing that all back a day or two.
Vecna has been Vecna. He comes in a trolls and meme for a few phases, but I don't know if this is going to be a feast or famine Vecna, even if town.

Why's that? I didn't see anything of yours that would jump to that conclusion. Is it just a placeholder?

I have a fragile ego and he insulted my math abilities. It’s been haunting me since.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2023 2:02 amWhy's that? I didn't see anything of yours that would jump to that conclusion. Is it just a placeholder?
On a slightly serious note, I had a lot of weird vibes from that post. I haven’t played much with them but it felts pretty out of character.

I really can't discount the feel-vote at this point.
I would expect we'll see Vecna perk up.
Do you have another two to add to the bin?

Jealous.
I'm planning my next session (3 weeks away because summer vacations...)
My players bought a brewery so I think that will be most of it, trying to figure out what their next adventure will be.
