I have seen very little posting by aaro to suggest that they are scumhunting. Their posts have been purely about the setup and its math. Before the game I had a private chat with them about the setup over a week ago, and they told me there were alot of secret plays that they would not want to discuss that scum could use in this setup. I notice they havent really delved into those plays.


sweetandcool seems to be pushing me for reasons that I am outside of a town meta that they are unwilling to explain to anyone because "it might make me play more like my town meta". This is problematic because if you cannot identify for others why I am scum in the first place it makes the vote look dishonest.

after that DemonRHK piques my interest for their reactions to my initial posts. Their reactions combined with the no kill vote seemed like needing to produce content without actually planning to stick around.

Ezio-Jamie-Vecna are just lurking, and I dont have any reasons for scumleaning them other than absence.

I had considered that if I rolled scum on webdip I would try to do a game with all images so my posts would not show up in the bot to research. That being said he is actually having fun and I really am not interested in forcing the only fun person in this game to stop having fun.

I thought you were probably town after your claim right at start but scum have pre-game chat and I felt something weird with you first provoking then agreeing with Brain.

I also have a good feeling about Chaqa, can't explain why.

It makes sense that Mafia got pregame chat for this setup, but I swear it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the setup. I am thankful someone asked and that information was revealed and am annoyed that I didn't know about it in the first place.

I will have to reassess the current dynamics and see how much that changes my reads.

And then finally for anyone who is still thinking my early game reaction test was real, no my partner did not openly confess to being scum. If they had I wouldve outed that person and claimed it immediately. I lied because I wanted to see who would react and how they would react to such a wild claim.

the reactions I obtained from demonRHK and sweetandcool both were interesting and have informed my reasons for why I think they are mafia. I feel less certain about sweetandcool being mafia than RHK fwiw.

Chance of being drawn with Mafia1 = 1/11

Chance of being drawn with Mafia2 = (1-1/11)*(1/10) = 1/11

Chance of being drawn with Mafia3 = (1-2/11)*(1/9) = 1/11

So if you are town the chance your partner is mafia is 3/11.

So as a townie your partner is more likely to be scum than somebody chosen at random (3/13).

Therefore logically you should vote your partner BUT if all town did that scum would have to follow suit so we would essentially be voting no kill AND revealing partners.

Therefore just vote who you think is scummy.

I think worcej is a naive town and his claim that Chaqa is his partner is probably true (though see caveat below). So from mpov Chaqa is theoretically more likely to be scum than a random selection.

I am all for letting a game breathe, letting things happen. But what ive noticed with this game is that the mech talk has frozen everyone into apathy. The majority of players arent pushing reads, people arent talking about anything from their pregame chats because theyve been told its anti town, and they are being told to only push their chat partners by probability, but also not to out who their chat partners were.

the game is begging for air, but keeps going back to the tailpipe of a lifted dodge ram truck and trying to suck up as much exhaust as possible, and the car is stuck in neutral.

There is absolutely no reason to claim before N1.

I feel like you're opinion has changed from "don't claim at all" to now one of "claim, but not before N1."

Am I misinterpreting your position? If it changed, why?

I still don't get the opposition to claiming from earlier and I understand less the difference between claiming now vs N1. I need to spend some more time with it.

My stance is (has been) “don’t claim yet”. I think claiming will likely be best at some point in the mid game depending on game state.

My focus on D1 versus N1 is that it should be easy to see why it doesn’t hurt to wait to at N1, and I want to use that to prevent people from claiming now and hurting town.
