Re: M1025 Game Thread
Paul and Prue sip tea while they strategize.
"We've nabbed one American already," Paul says, "but we may need to up our game to root out the remaining two."
"Yes, Paul, I've been thinking about that. Today's Signature Challenge is especially tricky, and I hope it's just the thing to help us identify the interlopers, because we're asking them to bake a dozen muffins."
"If anyone's got a tricky muffin, Prue, it'd be you."
"Indeed, Paul, but we are asking for sweet muffins, not yeasted muffins. And the Americans will be thinking, 'is it an English muffin or a regular muffin baked in a tin?' and of course, we have both types here, and we call them both muffins, and a British baker will know instinctively that we want the latter. But in any case, that slight confusion might trip up the Americans so that they reveal themselves."
Paul and Prue return to the tent, where Prue gives the bakers the brief.
"Today, we 're looking for a delicious muffin. It needs to be wonderfully moist with a velvety texture. There are far too many dry muffins out there, Paul. And we want tender muffins, if overbaked, they'll turn crusty, and no one wants a crusty muffin."
"Right," Paul agrees, "No yeasty muffins, no crusty muffins. What about nuts in your muffin, Prue?"
"There are so many interesting things you can put in your muffin, Paul. But no matter what, it needs to be a tidy muffin. If your muffin is covered in debris, no one is going to want to eat it."
Paul and Prue survey the remaining bakers. Prue leans over and whispers to Paul, "They're all desperately trying to suppress laughter. I was sure it would go over the Americans' heads."
Paul whispers back, "Well, even if your tricky muffin didn't catch the Yanks, there's still the actual baking that might reveal them."
NO ONE HAS DIED.
NIGHT 3 HAS BEGUN. YOU MAY POST.
