The case for ghug being Town:

During N2, ghug asks Haze to please convince them that they are town, because they feel they must vote Haze D3 and they don't like it.

Haze replies by clearly communicating (only to ghug) that they RB ghug: Link . You can continue with peterbot to see that Haze makes other very obvious comments. At this point, we can safely conclude that ghug knows that Haze RB ghug on N1 and consequently that Haze is captain.

So how do we explain Spy X's visit to Haze on N2? The most likely explanation is that it was clear to Mafia that Haze was some sort of PR and they wanted to figure out what they were.

Is there any explanation that makes sense for X to visit Haze, if his teammate ghug knows Haze is captain? Not really. There are two possibilities and they both make no sense.

1. X didn't log in on time to change their order from pointlessly scanning Haze.

REBUTTAL: X was active on the thread plenty after Haze outted themself to ghug. ghug would have had X adjust their action to be more useful.

2. Mafia wanted to verify Haze's role.

REBUTTAL: But there is absolutely no way ghug DIDN'T know Haze's role. This is pointless.

CONCLUSION: I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but the way N1 played out and ghug simultaneously being RB by Haze seems to have been a coincidence.

Alright, to please all of the people who think an argument for saving ghug must be reinforced by an argument to chop someone else, I present to you my pick for a scumteam:

I already explained BunnyGo. Jamiet has been weird all game and their reaction to the Vig kill was suspiciously not Jamiet-like.

I would explain further, but I actually read through Brainbomb's posts and my brain is fried.

If I'm wrong about either of them, brainbomb is next on my list. They are all over the place, getting into useless arguments, fomenting town paranoia. Also, it makes the most sense that brainbomb is lying about being jailed. The only reason I'm not putting them in my scumteam is that they really have bussed BunnyGo and Jamiet a lot (particularly BunnyGo), along with Fox as well. It seems a bit much for scum, but it also explains brainbomb being jailed (or rather lying about being jailed) N1. It also explains the oddity that Mafia has apparently only used the one jail on N1, and never since. Or it could be clever psychological warfare from the scumteam, maybe.

I'm sticking with voting BunnyGo because BunnyGo + brainbomb is more likely than Jamiet + brainbomb (I don't think Jamiet would have the patience to willingly get into some of the arguments he had with brainbomb).

All of that being said, I am okay with us flipping rdr, Kak or Dousing. They are still certainly better choices than ghug, who is practically 100% town and will help us not at all when revealed as such.

It's funny because I was so exhausted I didn't make what I would call a proper case for Jamiet and Bunny.

I just put out the most plausible scumteam I could think of with minimal evidence with the hope people would start listening to me about ghug.

that explains a lot. Err I mean, what do you think then of fox's fascination with your upvotes. He seemed quite annoyed by you doing that, though then he proceeded to townread you (and questioned worcejs PR claim). If it would've been someone else than you, how would you see that?

I, as I said, lean towards that it looks a bit more like as if you were partner in crime there. Or do you think fox did fake all that?

I noticed it (obv...he talk about ME). It seemed genuine in the sense that he seemed honestly miffed by it (the "angry" post is not something I think of him randomly throwing in). I also tried upvoting almost every post talking about me just as an "I see you" thing. This in addition to upvoting the posts that were saying roughly what I was thinking.

In retrospect, it's an easy to talk about thing to appear to be hunting. Even leaves it with an easy to "change his mind about" later. as in "Oh...Bunny seemed scummy and weird for a bit, but that all makes sense and now that I've sussed him for a bit, now I'll reasonably change my mind."

I have no idea why he questioned worcej's claim.

Do you remember that I asked you before to give me three people you would shoot (excluding fox)? I asked some more people about it. All the ones I did consider in my personal PoE (although two of them a bit higher but I wanted to include them still since I was unsure).

this were the answers they gave:

Bunny DID ANSWER (RD haze sweet)
damo did answer later (fox dousing haze)
RD did answer later (dousing haze because mafia bona because not readable)
X DID ANSWER (sweet jamie kak. maybe haze and ghug; NOT shoot brain or damo) [follows up with dousing getting bumped up because of the fox positive post]
fox didn't answer

brain did answer even while not asked (jamie ghug bona)

I did count damo's fox entry because I needed to ask him a second time and forgot to exclude fox there, so that's that.

Anyway, the result was this:

1: eden RD fox kak

quite nice right? Well, surprisingly, there were no votes for you, bunny, damo or X ... and that kept me thinking. In this list there should be the majority, if not all, mafia. Yet no votes for you three, even when they were in my post and people subconsciously were reminded of your names. But instead a vote for eden ... even two for ghug and jamie, which are green in edens (and mine) reads ...

and I think, between you three, the chance of hitting mafia is extremely high ... not with those who got many votes (and I even would veto bona and sweet here which I townread ... well a little bit of doubt has formed for bona, but surly not enough to consider him right now).

Additionally, you, bunny, and X were often a topic for fox. That is a lot of coincidence, I think ...

so after putting that in, it looks like that:

still a striking absence for X and Bunny

The inexplicable assumption that Mafia would never not take care of worcej N1 reminded me strongly of the previous game where it was inexplicably assumed Mafia would never take 2+ powers.

The cities were also mostly all backwards names of diplomacy spots.

I first thought you would put an island called Anneiv (or Anne IV) somwhere north of Etseirt, but sadly the course diverted into the Spaghetti Sea. It's the famous birthplace of the vikings (in regards of the vienna vikings).

... also, come to think about it, does anyone know "Wickie und die starken Männer"? It seems Chaqa has seen the cartoon too
