Ugh, I need to work my way out of analysis funk.

Jamiet has written blessedly few posts today. But they are interesting because they are a reaction to the Vig shot.

They sound townie to me, but what do you all make of them? I read it as Jamiet thinking ghug was the Captain, which doesn't mesh super well with what we think Mafia knew (we think Mafia knew Haze was at least a PR).

Please discuss.

I find it very suspicious that Jamie hasn't spent the day insisting I'm a filthy liar who must die. That may mostly be absence, but I feel like I'd expect town Jamie to react more heavily in the moment.

Yeah, I agree with that take. Jamiet just isn't here, so I'm not going to read into it, but that sounds like the natural Jamiet reaction to me.

I suppose we should have expected that reaction at the beginning of the day, right? Jamiet was kind of cool about it instead.

When I started my case for/against ghug, I firmly believed the answer would be an easy slam dunk on ghug. But I was surprised to see that it wasn't the case.

Somehow I got distracted by everybody calling for me to find suspects. I'm not sure I can convincingly make a case for anyone right now.

But it seems my argument for ghug's innocence is somehow not as convincing to everyone else as it is to me.

So I need to reinforce it. And the thing I forgot to do is come up with a convincing theory for N1. I think this and mechs is currently something I can be productive with, and I think it is critical that I save ghug from an unnecessary misskill.

So I'm going to do that. And anyone who wants to criticize me for not coming up with suspects can stuff it.

This is a mechanical situation that isn't black and white, which makes people's takes on it meaningful. I'm biased because I know it's correct and it's roughly the argument I've been putting out there, but I think it's a good look that he considered it critically, changed his mind, and now is aggressively fighting an uphill battle to save his townread.

Alright, brain I'll do that, but I'm still focusing on the mechs, because I think people need a plausible explanation for N1 in order to get over ghug.

I am busy with dinner right now, so don't hold your breath for any substantial posts right now. I'll have time to analyze in 5-7 hours, so I will start off with some quick posts on towny ghug (this will actually be an easy task). Then I will be focused on what I think will be important and hopefully my efforts will reap dividends.

I don't mean in this game, I mean in general. Am I capable of making individual posts that move the needle towards town for you? I get the sense you only read me on extended patterns of behavior and results.

Before that for a large swath of games I townread you early and often. Some of the games we were mafia together.

This is not a habitual disease I have. There was a time like 6 years ago where I always scumread you every game but that is not the case any longer. I am not driven by any need to challenge you. I do not have a personal bias either as far as what I expect from you.
