I don't want to vote Bunnygo anymore because I do think he's pulling a bit and will show up and post.

Of the wagons: I think Sweet is town; I don't want to vote Bozo or Brain or ghug; Eden or Bona could be possibilities, maybe X if I give into a purely reactive read. Of the low(er)-posters: Dousing and Pyxxy are possibilities to pressure vote, but I think Damo is likely town.

no mention here of rdrivera among the lower posters

No idea, as it was proverb someone mentioned in (I think) my first game (possibly even in the scum chat). I recall once that ghug (I think?) showed up to a game pretending to be angry that he'd rolled scum, and ended up being town. But that wasn't joking, that was a bit.

Do you have counterexamples?

Im absolutely certain that Town Maniac claimed scum once, that Town Jamie has claimed scum before, and I know for a fact that Town!Me has claimed scum on several occasions. Fluminator has done it before if I recall, in any case, it isnt good play, but it does happen. I would encourage you to read the Bona ISO, and my analysis. And at least do the due diligence on it.

Maniac, Jamie, you, and Flum are not what I would call "average" players.

That said, Bona may very well not be an average player, either, and I did read your ISO on him. I'm willing to move my vote off Bona, but I don't have strong scum reads at this point.

I have a few pages to catch up on, but at this point, I think: Bunny and Worcej are town; damo is probably town; ghug, Jamie, rdr, and brain are all kind of getting a wait-and-see pass for being veterans that I've played with a fair amount; Dousing is lurking, which is not great, but I don't think that warrants a D1 wagon; X and Sweet are probably TvT.

Alright, it's finally time to get cracking. I'll be analyzing and posting over the next couple of hours. I'll try to be concise, but no promises.

First topic, which I'm only going to address once, because it's kind of a waste of time and against the philosophy I was going to try to stick with coming into D2:

My weird comments so far on D2.

I started D2 by making a post about how I was going to listen for a while rather than talk. This got blown out of the water by the Fox revelation. But I was just making that post as a way to try to get myself to stick to my newfound philosophy of trying to focus on solving rather than defending myself.

Then I made some further weird comments expressing regret that Mafia had screwed up. The comments were of course genuine, and I think I explained myself well enough. It's not as fun if your opponent plays poorly. Of course, the comments shouldn't have been said because it makes me look weird, and it was out of character because I just wasn't nearly careful enough.

I was caught up in cockiness brought on by President Eden's analysis. I think the reason why I struggle with President Eden, is that their thoughts generally mesh quite a bit with my own. I found their analysis bang on and felt in the moment that the game was practically over.

Anyways, I guess this introspection has been positive for me, because now I've realized why I have a hard time not leaning towards a scumread of them.

Luckily, with no CC, I can comfortably trust President Eden, which is so liberating :D

sympathizing with mafia struggling to kill the right person is part of
playing in a game where the players are still people. wanting a quality game with decent level of play is fine.

I wouldnt say I feel sorry for them as maybe Eden and I just really confused them and they thought I really was still the PR even when eden reclaimed

With two claimed and outted PRs and two dead VTs you would think we would all feel like were losing but because weve all been in so much worse situations this actually feels more like scum is in shambles

it's lucky if they weren't around to course correct, but we couldn't have gotten lucky without the setup
