For context, s&c has written quite a lot in the main discord about God and other such topics, and I never picked up on any British spellings he used, so it piqued my attention when ghug asked him about using such spellings, and he responded by saying he had picked them up from books when he was younger.

I thought it was interesting because s&c seems like the kind of guy who might get cheeky with the roleplay and use British spellings as a “Royalist.” And additionally I simply never noticed him using them before.

But upon looking at his writing samples, I only see him spelling “favour” that way. I checked “criticise,” “saviour” and some other stuff I don’t remember.

I’m inclined to believe his story

it struck me that s&c might be the kind of guy who would be cheeky about the role play in this game by using such spelling as a Royalist. I recognize this is kind of silly which is why I said the other post you quoted.

s&c’s explanation for his spellings seemed like total cap, so I went and looked through a writing sample that would not be tainted by in-game considerations: his posts in the philosophical threads on the discord

the conclusion I reached from this is that he does actually spell some of those words that way, so this theory did not have merit and was in fact silly.

In this game, I would prefer if people could get in my mindset as much as possible. The more I am understood, the better. Whereas in most strategy games, being able to understand and predict your opponent could potentially be a strong advantage.

I am capable of abstract thought. I know how I would feel and how I would behave if I were Mafia. Perhaps it is unhelpful to make comments about how I would behave as either alignment, but it does help paint an accurate and consistent picture as to how I should be behaving.

I'm happy to help solve regardless of alignment. If I'm town, solving is good. If I'm Mafia, solving throws suspicion off of me.

I've been playing this game for over ten years and I still don't know how I'll play games when I enter. I think that you trying to vote me is an OMGUS vote had no reasons behind it. I think you've been unnecessarily self aware about things that don't need commenting. I also haven't felt much wolf hunting from you and think you've been trying to create content for yourself by playing into this newbie role talking needlessly about hypotheticals that exist in your mind (we don't know how you'd actually play as either alignment since there is no history).
