I have not harped on my newness. I made one comment about how I still do not understand how to play D1, and D1 makes me nervous (I do not play nervous otherwise, whatever that means). One mention does not equal harping. One mention was not meant to convey that I awash at sea of my hopeless newness.

I am so sick of others making this a talking point.

Actually, now that you are getting me thinking about it, this is totally something scum sweetandcool would consider doing. So you'd probably be on the right track if I was Mafia.

But since I didn't think of it, I am not scum sweetandcool and consequently proved myself as towncore.

In his last game, as town, Sweet said something to the effect that he is nervous about how other players will view him (I forget if he said that he modulated his posts as a result). So I don't think this is scum-indicative.

No I think Eden is playing in a manner where he isnt fairly evaluating players and keeps retreating into victim space when called out for things he is doing. He keeps giving hard to read players a pass while relentlessly tunneling s&c. I feel that he made the argument personal when it never was, and started scumreading me because hes a wolf and didnt want me to become a runaway consensus townread.

Huh? I don't understand.

To reiterate: I think it's helpful in Mafia for people to understand me. Unrelatedly, I think it is unhelpful for people to understand me in strategy games. I pretty much only play strategy games, and consequently do not normally give out free personal information. I normally don't even clarify my gender, which people normally assume is female.

have you played mafia before?

I played the previous webdip Mafia game. Before that, I played some short crappy real-time games on BGA. They were not a welcoming community and pretty consistently voted me off D1 for being new. That's my experience.

I dunno, if Sweet's scumtell is that he tends to slip into British spelling and German capitalization, is it better for me to alert him that I'm looking out for that, or wait until there's a large enough sample size to assess it?

I can tell you that I do not scumread Sweet. I was using that as an example because it already came up in the thread.

I have trouble sorting him because his default disposition is to be negative and manipulative in a manner that erodes team cohesion. I don’t think it’s wrong for me to suspect that in the abstract, but I also lack confidence that I’m being objective in my evaluation of his alignment.

I think that’s about as diplomatic as I’m capable of being on the subject.

I do not think President Eden has been relentlessly tunneling me. Arguably his opinion on me is the most Town thing he has done.

eh the most I really had on him was he seemed like his early posts felt obligatory but he doesnt strike me as mafia anymore with posting habits or tone

He seems off this game.

I'm going to call this post wolfy because you already tried to explain how you saying 'someone is off' was meant as a joke, but now I feel like you're purposely trying to make sure everyone thinks you were joking. I'm not sure what your motivation with these type of posts are.

Alright, sum up what you want me to answer and I will give it a try.

I am capable of abstract thought. I know how I would feel and how I would behave if I were Mafia. Perhaps it is unhelpful to make comments about how I would behave as either alignment, but it does help paint an accurate and consistent picture as to how I should be behaving.

I'm happy to help solve regardless of alignment. If I'm town, solving is good. If I'm Mafia, solving throws suspicion off of me.

At this point, I read any "so-and-so feels off" as a joke post. It was A Thing a couple games ago (last game?).
