I am asking why it wasn't a wasted shot. For it to be a good shot we should have learnt something from it...or better yet, hit scum.

Perhaps your definition of "wasted shot" is different to mine.

By "wasted shot" I meant wasted for Mafia, if it was them who had the cannon. They wasted the shot on someone very lynchable instead of an unlynchable, which is where they want to aim.

For town it was an OK shot unless Chaqa has a town-exclusive item. Not better than hitting scum obviously, but much better than most anyone else.

Last flog:

My argument for it being a good Mafia shot was if the scum cannon holder had previously announced themselves. It gave them town cred without risking any Mafia or giving town additional info.

My argument for it being a bad shot for town was because we gained no info from Chaqa. A much better shot would have been a wagon which we had already been debating the pros and cons of.

it's interesting, the logic i use to conclude flash is scum is based around thinking "if he were town" and my logic for durga is "if she were scum". The former is stronger logic IMO, since I think running into incorrect WIFOM logic is more likely in the latter.

One last thought, concerning how I thought at one point Tom would want to shoot MF before Durga did. Flash could have been kidding about needing to coordinate and the plan to have flash and durga fire D1 cannons for some town cred just went ahead plenty fine in response to BB's scan. I'll do a Durga reread when i'm rested tomorrow morning. Don't clear our cannons from the lynch pool options so early, please.
