Is there a reason why you feel the need to play referee so early in the game?
LOL, I especially like how this "Listen, us old pros know that Bona does this, like, every game, amiright" comes right before his "Oh wow, I am so new here, how does Day 1 even work???" post...
I don't know how to post GIFs, but just imagine I'm posting the scene from Kill Bill where Lucy Liu wrecks a dude.

Seriously, next person who mentions my newness in disbelief gets a vote.
You literally posted "Honestly, I'm still not sure how D1 works (this is my 2nd game)."

Not much to say about ghug and Jamiet, both seemed normal. Well, actually I don't know what is normal for ghug.

Has Eden even posted anything of note yet? I will consult peterbot in a while.
How many games have you played with ghug and Jamie? Calling slots normal feels like a pretty easy escape goat.
What is an escape goat?

I have played one game of Mafia. But, I have seen Jamiet all over this forum and this behavior is normal Jamiet behavior. Is it genuine, I do not know. But I do know it is unremarkable.
Escape goat isn't a Mafia term, it's me saying scapegoat.

Okay, maybe it's normal, but the fact that you're perhaps questioning if it's genuine might be worth asking a question, yeah? I just felt like maybe Jaime was trying a bit too hard to open the game and some parts just didn't feel super natural.

What do you find inauspicious about voting first? If you have a gut feeling, wouldn't you want to kick the ball and get it rolling?
I dislike this opening statement.

What is your pirate background?!
Does no one give reasons for their thoughts around here? That's twice now I've asked a direction question to a player and all I've gotten in return was 'I dislike this'. Okay sure, but why?

My pirate background is a tragic one, one that has spread the seven seas and poor village women tell their children to keep them scared straight. I cannot and will not repeat the story here, for I want to retain some sanity among my fellow swash bucklers, but all I'll say is that my story is a tale of revenge and has left me with not just a wooden arm, not just a wooden leg, but a wooden HEAD as well.
I dig it.

I elaborated. No pirate story=dislike.

I now have a wooden arm to shake and a wooden head to talk to. I am happy now that I have a name to your face.

I can understand people's ordinary behavior and I can be new. I know how Jamiet and Bona act. And if they were to behave differently from last game, that still wouldn't mean much in a vacuum.

Whereas, I can't confidently claim normal ghug/foxcastle/etc. behavior. I am done discussing this, Mr. Fox.

incredibly lame opening post

scumclaim
I just get right down to business. We can have some fun later, but I'd rather see what y'all are made of first. But why this reaction from you? I'm just asking a simple question and I feel like town usually want to get shit going while wolves want to stay in the background.
why this reaction? it's honest and what i felt in my soul

Normal Jaimet behavior includes a sharp tongue and no small amount of whit. Simultaneously, Jaimet does not seem to be able to understand jokes or sarcasm. I do not know if they genuinely have trouble with that, but they consistently behave in that way.

Since I am giving you a dossier on Jaimet, I'm would be remiss to not mention that Jaimet is a ladies man, successful businessman, and British.

Do you actually think that Bona is seriously wolf reading you? I felt like they called your entrance scummy as a joke and you're trying to triple down on them. If you want to pressure them, why make a throwaway vote on ghug?
i similarly dislike this
Sure. Care to explain? Why have you decided to just say you dislike my posts yet fail to answer my question or clarify your reasons?
i didn't fail to answer your question - i just hadn't attempted it at that time

to extemporize, i dislike this post specifically because it's Serious and uses big words like Wolf Reading and Pressure and Throwaway, when i only know words less than 7 letters, and it's day 1, so like, who cares man? just figure it out later and have fun now

i feel like someone unused to webdip is likely to enter day 1 on a different gear than most other people here are on, and their reactions to that (and if and how they switch gears to be in sync) is revealing

I am just pointing out contradictions as I see them, is all.

But we should probably avoid repeating last game’s debacle, in any case.

i thought it was funny

i don't retract it
at this point why wait to vote them if you wanted to but not be the first vote?
Question @Bonatogether, how come you call out my post asking this exact same question, saying you dislike it, but then have no issue when Haze asks you the same thing?
it was phrased differently and i thought it revealed something different

i was also in a better mood

Lazy pocketing going on here.
I was gonna call it scum but I literally did that last game and compared people to others to get reads on them.
Nice, more advanced pocketing going on here. I feel warm and fuzzy from the indirect praise, thank you.
