I agree with this approach. Not sure what date to pick, but we may want to ask about whether he was alive on a specific date in the early 20th Century.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 109
Timothy Leary fits but not sure whether he would be considered a writer.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 109
I think someone whose Wikipedia article mentions him being an author in the first sentence (after psychologist) would qualify, and it's very possible that we're looking for someone who is a writer but is better known for something else.han-shahanshah wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 4:25 pmTimothy Leary fits but not sure whether he would be considered a writer.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 109
If I understand the rules correctly, ya'll now have 5 more guesses for who you think it is. No more questions attempting to gain more information. Is that correct?

I mean, you could always drop a hint, but you're not obligated to answer more than 20 questions.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 10:28 pmIf I understand the rules correctly, ya'll now have 5 more guesses for who you think it is. I've got a gut feeling that this writer doesn't pass the dart test by a loooong shot.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 109
He wasn't a politican, but he did do a lot of politically charged stuff (so I'm not sure about that)... he did "serve" (work) as part of the U.S. Army... and he was born at the right time and never won a Pulitzer...
...so I'm gonna guess Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss.

No. I'm surprised how many old North American writers that ya'll are dredging up that actually fit the criteria.DougJoe wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 3:52 pmHe wasn't a politican, but he did do a lot of politically charged stuff (so I'm not sure about that)... he did "serve" (work) as part of the U.S. Army... and he was born at the right time and never won a Pulitzer...

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 109
Jack Kerouac would’ve been a good guess if he didn’t die at 47 (not a guess)
