The fact that town powers are chosen at random would make this play tempting. What if nobody received vanilla cop? Plus, I think chaqa read the room correctly, that they were reasonably likely to be voted anyways.

It's less effort to vote Chaqa than to convince everyone else to join a completely different wagon. But I guess I'm a tunneler for being through and wanting my arguments to be heard.

Besides, I've given plenty of commentary on everyone playing. I've just decided to focus on the people who are the most suspicious from my POV; the squeaky wheel gets the grease after all. Even then I'd argue I have a greater breadth than you give me credit for.

I've given plenty of time to specifically analyze:
- Eden (their assessment of Bona but also them generally),
- you,
- Koala (more of a defense but my point still stands),
- Snowy (they're dead now but I really intended to question them),
- and now Chaqa (although they kinda set themselves up)

Did I focus on you too much? Sure, but that's also because not a lot of people were giving me the time of day and I had good reason to be suspicious of you.

I was struck by an inconsistency in Chaqa's claim. He says he thinks scum took no powers but his results make that impossible. This indicates he didn't think it through and Dousing is much more believable.

However, I find it intriguing that sweet is voting Dousing but hasn't actually confirmed or denied Dousing's scan claim that sweet is non vanilla.

If Eden is to be believed the scum team appears to be Chaqa Bona sweet.

If Eden is lying then it is Eden Dousing and one of {Jamie, bozo, rdr}.

Id like to hear from sweet wet vanilla status and ofc we need to hear from Bona re RB.

I guess today has to be Chaqa v Dousing (surely one is lying scum).

I was townreading both but Dousing's claim seems more believable.

Continuing: I am the vanilla cop.

Night 1 I scanned Bona. He came back not vanilla, hence the first post on Day 2. I've been thinking about this a lot and I firmly believed he was another PR until the math doesn't seem to make sense.

Night 2 I scanned Eden. He also came back not vanilla. I figured at this point it was worth just claiming.

So, if one of them is a PR, that would be ideal, but if not I think maybe I've got two. I'm just unsure about Bona though so I don't have him locked in as scum.

Ok coming back to catch up and I see this.

If you are both telling the truth this confirms Mafia has taken at least one power.

Consequently, I must ask for clarification on two potential powers, because I'm not 100% sure I understand them.

What is 1-shot faction Janitor and what is JOAT?

Janitoring is an action that clears away the Night Kill so we don't learn the role of the killed person. "1-shot" means they can only do it once.

JOAT is Jack Of All Trades, it has several one-shot actions. Most usually a one-shot Cop, one-shot Doctor, and one-shot Roleblocker. Occasionally the one-shot Roleblock is swapped out for a one-shot vigilante kill, but usually only if the JOAT is town, not scum.

I think you are mistaken about this detail, because in this setup Worcej has told us Mafia Goons return a "Not Vanilla" result. Thus it is mechanically possible for Chaqa to be Town's only PR, and for his "Not Vanilla" results to be confirmed scum (if his claim is true) since every other town player would return "Vanilla".

Ok. I am inclined to believe Dousing's Vanilla Cop claim over Chaqa's claim. Mostly because of this:

My second thought concerns S&C's reaction:

I will of course spend some time examining all of the role claimers. But I'm less inclined to believe you simply because I haven't seen any evidence of you doing anything except tunneling on me and Bona. Plus, you haven't mentioned who you scanned N2.

If Dousing is genuine, then this reaction from S&C pretty much screams caught Mafia.

Scenario 1: Chaqa is the real Vanilla Cop. Dousing is scum, and at least one of Eden and Bona are also scum, possibly both.

Scenario 2: Dousing is the real Vanilla Cop. Chaqa and Sweetandcool are both scum.
