How does the investigation tool being a one time use change your mind on the authenticity of Brainbomb's claim? I'm not following.

Flash2015 - Starts with a joke vote during night. Comments on Peterbot. Another joke post about tradition. Shows up in time to shoot MoscowFleet, then leaves. If Flash didn’t shoot MF, I would probably be voting Flash. He has not done anything really at all. But it looks like he is just lurking, reading the thread, and chiming in when he wants to. Maybe Flash is scum who realized that MF was going to die anyway and wanted the towncred of shooting him. Flash, please contribute more or else I might actually vote you. Slight scum

page 24 My apologies for not communicating much. I didn't want to say too much the first night lest I give away that I have a gun. And we had a bit of a family tragedy Thursday night...so this hasn't been my highest priority.

Having said that I really didn't like Xorxes plan for cannon holders to announce themselves. It made no sense...especially from such an experienced player (it feels a bit scummy). I don't understand how anyone could possibly believe there is a chance I am still scum (how would giving town two chances to kill scum on the very first day have benefited scum??)...but perhaps in Squiggs case he is just displaying his reachy normalness.

Having said this, I probably got too excited about my cannon. There was no reason why I needed to shoot that early. I could have left it 24 hours to see who tried to discredit BB (a common scum strategy is to cast doubt on the bleeding obvious). It also would have given some time to see whether Durga's cannon claim was real. I haven't gone back and checked - did Durga reclaim the cannon before or after I shot? If she doesn't have the cannon, the person who does have the remaining cannon knows she is now lying

I guess it wouldn't clear you, and it wouldn't necessarily clear the thief, and I see you giving credence to how if it's a town thief and you're telling the truth, you'd want scum to now know who has the replacement head. I'm gonna ##UNVOTE for now.

OMGUS at its finest. But I digress, if others think my theory is Ocram's Razor-ish and unlikely, I give you that. Not changing my vote for now, but not going to waste it either.

I propose "Toast" was a keyword to tell scum what item he really stole. One of his scum buddies might have the head so he wouldn't be counterclaimed.

Am I the only one that took this to be that he had the Repair Kit - due to the fact the Toaster are an item you have to repair in Wasteland and Wasteland 2. Maybe I inferred too much, but this had me clear ghug from my angle at the time.

I'm not too clear on what you're seeing, so probably I'm not seeing it. Flash shooting Moscow for towncred is way too farfetched and only to be considered if flash makes it to the endgame. Durga being scum only makes sense if she claimed the cannon too soon before realizing she shouldn't have claimed it, and then having to waste the shot on someone like Chaqa. I can't see it as a plan to gain towncred.
