No, but its not like mobs are the most rational bunch

Also in a game where murder is the bread-and-butter game mechanic, it's not like human life is super duper valuable

I've played a tiny bit on BGA, but their slang is wildly different from everything I am seeing here.

I assume all of the experienced players like taking a shot in the dark in the first round, which isn't unreasonable.

The thing Jamie didn't point out is that it's not a very good play in this game. Assuming they're both mafia, if Jamie knows he's bussing Koala, he's either the other goon, in which case he's killing off his only real teammate (this might be reasonable if he knows that the second goon is a great player), or he's the traitor, in which case he knows he doesn't know who his other teammate is and so it's a pretty big gamble.

So I think Jamie's response is actually kind of weird, but it's actually unlikely that the ploy I described is happening.

The Traitor dynamic isn't something I considered when answering you - mostly I guess, because I am not scum, and I was primarily responding to your idea that "if Koala is scum then I've proved Jamie is scum too because this is a thing I, Foxcastle, did to a different player in a different game" which was nonsense.

But the Traitor is a dynamic to keep in mind, you're right.
