Is it more of an investment than a full press Diplomacy game? I just realized that the rules don't state the time of days and nights. Are we playing one day per day? Are we supposed to all be online at a specified time for a specific duration (like an hour every day)?

Depends on the full press Diplomacy game.

I think there's probably more text at least in the early days, but you don't have to be quite as thoughtful about it. Yesterday's day one (days are 48 hours, nights are 24) was about 30 pages of forum, which is about what you can expect.

There's a set time for phase changes (always in the 2-4 PST range to accommodate Europe and America). It's important but not critical that you be around at that time once every 72 hours. There are always some people who miss end of day (EoD).

GandalfKoala will attempt to play using "magic", also known as "intuition" and spend less time writing things, so the haters of Amazing Impersonation Roleplay can rejoice. If a VT is randomly allocated a power role of VT and this remains a a VT eo they still get a message they were randomly allocated a power role?

Your Q2 doesn't make a whole lot of sense. What does "power role of VT" mean? There is no power role of VT. VT is not a Power Role.

Do you mean "When power roles are allocated, do people who remain a VT get a second message confirming they are still a VT?" ?

The last time I didn't have much time lead to me being set up and voted out in a crucial time for town, so I don't really want to repeat that. I'd want to have a better performance than last game (even before my involuntary absence), but the month of april is going to be learn-intensive for me though so that will have to wait. Maybe in may when that period is over, though that time is stressful for another reason, so I'll see.

On top of it, since only two slots are free, I believe people would prefer to have the already mentioned father/son duo in the game.

I expect an invite to god chat though to use the little time I have to document how I would've done much better if I would've been in game ...
