Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
Primary reason is that I was the first to make a big push on Tom, and Squigs was the next to respond, and the resulting interactions between Tom and Squigs don't look like scum vs. scum, and there would have been no reason for Squigs to do that to a scum buddy.
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
The squiggles reads on Vecna make Vecna look pretty town.
I'm also not as sold on Tom being town as the rest of y'all.
Vecna - Pretty standard Vecna. Active, pushing people, makes sense, seems genuine. Town.
First, Xorxes question regarding my Vecna read. Honestly that reads list was put together in a a hurry, so I really only iso'd a couple of players I thought were scummy. I remembered thinking Vecna was townie, so on my reads list I put he was standard townie Vecna to me and put some of the things standard townie Vecna does. After looking back, I realize that Vecna didn't do as much as I had remembered. I'll have to look into him more in-depth when I have more time.
I'm also not as sold on Tom being town as the rest of y'all.
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
From my personal perspective as town who started the attack on Tom, I have a specific perspective now on how squiggles trying to help launch that wagon makes no sense if Tom is scum.
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
I suppose from all of your perspective, you could conceive a possible plot where both Squigs and I bussed Tom.
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
Throwing some wood into the fire now, but my scumleans are the following:
- Durga (null, but more like a scum-lean) - mostly for the already described hesitance and the choice of shot targets. The soft-claim on N0 is totally a wise scum thing to do (IMO) because you could use it right away if the town pushed for it before scum could act. You could sell it as obv!town if you wanted.
- ghug (scum-lean) - Just a vibe, a lot of non-substance posting and mostly picking fights. This seems to be him being normal though, so this is a meh scum-lean.
- Damo (scum?) - typical vibe, he is near impossible to tell between scum/town because of this lack of substance during the game. He sheeps people and floats along and has mostly always been town except the game we had to bail on, which he would've been the MVP because no one really scum read him. Due to the threat, I'd be willing to start a wagon on him on D2 just to ensure we're covered.
- Vecna (scum-lean) - Mostly because he has been AFK as crap this game. That hasn't been a normal thing to me. I am definitely leaning to now that 2/4 scum are gone, lurking and staying under the radar is the most important thing to do.

ghug - What about those Vecna reads by Squiggles makes you think he is town? Can you elaborate?
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
[*]I agree with that, as I stated before.worcej wrote: ↑Mon Sep 10, 2018 6:23 pmThrowing some wood into the fire now, but my scumleans are the following:

[*] I'm not sure, I won't say if I agree or don't. Ghug is apparently not the most active player but we can't say he lurks and I liked his style. I have nothing to scumread him.
[*]I see he is very active but I can't remember about his posts, maybe I will ISO him.
[*]He is a strong lurker, which makes him very scummy so far but WHY WOULD A SCUM WANTS PEOPLE TO SEE HIM LURK? This didn't sound like a mafia motivation to me. I want to hear mire from him.
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
I can see ghug as scum, but not ND given the weird push on him at the end that Squiggs entertained.
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
He lazily gave a read on Vecna, one of his stronger townreads at that, without thinking of a good reason for it. That's not something you do with a teammate.Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Mon Sep 10, 2018 6:37 pmghug - What about those Vecna reads by Squiggles makes you think he is town? Can you elaborate?
Re: MAFIA 39 - GAME THREAD
Hmm, squiggs didn't entertain the ND lynch. I take back my defense of ND.
