I didn't think I was a "low volume" poster. Might take a bit to get going but...

...and I already effed up my HBPPT, so it's done with.

42 more hours for joke-posting.
For the record, HB stopped counting his posts when he reached post #7.
Do you think he stopped because of your pressure about it?

I agree with Ghug. It doesn't look like try-harding and HB isn't a lurker or someone who worries with showing he is actively playing. Is this Worcej defending HB or tryng to set him indirectly.
Neither?

If anything, all my actions were more shading if Jamie then HB - kinda shocked you missed that one.
What are you talking about? You said Jamiet was sus for counting your posts and it looks like a joke to me, it wasn't?
I guess I was confused by what you initially were referencing here.

My sus was entirely sarcastic and joking. I don’t think Jamie is scum so far and he seems in his town meta. Just awaiting the standard town tunnel from him to confirm it.

Townslip?
How?
I'm assuming Mafia know their teammates. Perhaps they don't and Jamie couldn't resist trying to be cute.
I think this is a fair assumption, but part of me has this level of doubt on everything atm because the closed nature and me reading far to much into Chaqa’s comments about the setup being fun.

So clearly Flum is lying about something and/or trying to drag the GM into the game in a manner that's against the spirit of the game.

Super.
Think I found it. Jamie is town.

I also feel ghug is much more silent than in games before. I would love to hear more from him. So here some questions for ghug:

-) What do you think of bozo and boats absence? Do you think the GM's should ask about them?

-) On a scale from 1 to 10, how serious is your Jamie vote?

-) If you had a gun with a bullet for only D1, who would you shoot (or consider to shoot)?
1. Not super concerned, but I do think it's probably worth nudging in this case because of the changes in game start time (I know I had it in my head that we were starting tomorrow).
2. 2.
3. Jamie because it would be funny, or you because I'm finding your posting unhelpful and thread-crowding.
ghug also embraces chaos like me lol

He said he has a gun in his first post.

(There's no way mafia missed that so idgaf if people say I'm outing PRs)
I initially missed this.

Not sure if Koala is indicating gun or some other power upon examination.

Kak really did a deep dive into the whole Home on the Range thing.

Thing is, how many players start the game with a "I didn't read the setup?"

GMs have certainly created the conditions to help/enable players.

2/10
Probably just Flum lol
I don't get either of these posts.

Brian, what do you mean GMs have created conditions to help enable players?
Worcej, why didn't you think I read the setup?
It was a joke post because I thought you always say you don’t read the setup. Or am I confusing you with Chaqa?

Quick driveby post in between errands.

Seems like we, collectively, no absolutely nothing about the setup. Treat this like a very plain game with an assumption of 9 town and 3 mafia?

Day 1 votes are a mad scramble with no evidence to go on. A townsperson is usually killed. I suppose we reconcile ourselves to that.

I know I go after some (ghug immediately comes to mind) for stating something without some compelling reasons behind the statement. That drives me crazy. However, today, maybe that's the best. Assume we are all in the dark, but the less said about who to vote, the better.

Two to probably not vote out are Koala and Flum. Koala because they're probably town, given the current act. Flum because they might have something to share and I think we'd want that information but when it's given under duress or threat of execution, I think it's less valuable or reliable?

There's already a current of sowing distrust about certain players. There's already some interactions that raise an eyebrow. I don't think we should even throw about vibes lists. Don't say who is so hardtown-read. Keep mafia guessing when it comes time to make their kill. Let's not make their work easier.

That's my mental state around the game right now. I am sure my downtown walk will give me another piece of enlightenment. I'll take questions upon my return.

Play nice with one another.
Do you think scum pay particular attention to vibe lists?

Ever? Idk. He’s been here a lot of games and I think he does miss some time but comes in strong when he engages.

jamie being unhappy with minutae is something jamie always does, usually as town, but chaqa usually doesn't, because he's stoned out of his mind, so for chaqa to act like town jamie is not necessarily indicative of town chaqa

Alright, caught up.

As I said, I had some thoughts about what we might can derive from the information we have.

That is: the player number (and names). As worcej said, we are 12 players (though how many didn't post yet, do they know the game has started?). We don't know more.

Typically, mafia know each other at the start, right? But I was thinking and this doesn't have to be 100% true, at least for D1, maybe it's a setting where they only get to know each other at the start of N1. So maybe my thoughts here hurt town a bit by giving mafia ideas, but I think it's negligible, since it's still likely they start with this information.

So, 12 players, right? If we think there is no 3rd party, normal range should be from 2 to 4, probably 3. I don't like how worcej directly jumped on the number being 3, in his post about it, but then again, it looks the most likely, no? It would be 1/4th of the whole population so mathematically it makes sense.

However, there are some variations, since Mafia could have extremely strong roles and only be two, right? Or Mafia have no roles but the numbers and town have a load of PR's. Sure, this is all speculation, but Chaqa said before, he very much liked it and wanted to play it (and correct me if I'm wrong but Chaqa likes more role heavy settings, right?).

I know for D1 this doesn't make any difference, but I'd like to mention it here for the future, with the power of hindsight and more knowledge of roles from the flips. Depending on which information we get we should get a better picture of the setting and keep rethinking, not being stuck with only one view.

Therefore, I like thoughts about these situations, especially ghug and Jamie, but everyone is welcome to add theirs (and I would most appreciate that):

-) 2 mafia, both with powerful roles, 1/6th ratio
-) 3 mafia, probably mixed, 1/4th ratio
-) 4 mafia, powerless, 1/3rd ratio

depending on what town has available as roles, I personally think 2 or 4 mafia are still on the table (though the 1/3rd ratio make me take a step back). If we have only 2 mafia with powerful roles, I think a 3rd party is possible, maybe even likely. If we have 4 mafia, then town should have a load of power roles.

Well, anyway, don't speculate on what town PR's we might have or their exact count, try to focus on the mafia team with your thoughts you write in here.

Also, maybe the GM's should remember those who haven't posted that the game began. Remember, one of the rules is that non-participation is automatic mod-kill and people will not get replaced for that.
There's no way there'd be a 4/8 split barring the most wacky powers in history. that's literally a MK and we're at MKLO.

Do you have any thoughts on what this closed setup might be? I have this peculiar sense that we've all recieved the vanilla townie PM and there are NO mafia present. No Nightkills. Just us routinely executing VTs all game long. Brain and Darg laughing wildly while the rest of us fume.
I have no major thoughts on what the setup might be, no.

The amount of information available to me is limited to my own role.
Townslip?
