M1024: Panhandlin' [GAME THREAD]
KansasBoyd: (at an NRA meeting) According to my "research", it says here
Buster Dinglehopper and his oil buddies came upon a shocking document from the continental congress of 1902. To me. This proves that Hillary was on Epsteins Island. Not just there, not just... involved. But maybe, she was even there when they stole the pandhandle from texas. And her foundation was behind it. Because, guess what:
Turns out the Oklahoma land was supposed to be given to the Watchicka Tribe as part of a treaty. Instead, Buster Mcdougall Dinglehopper Jones gambled the panhandle away to some Oklahomans. (spits)
The worst.
Some upstarts in the panhandle decided they ought to hire a circus monkey named taco to find buster and his oil buddies before they came a lookin' fer Oklahoma Uranium mines. You see somewhere in the panhandle the ranchers were mutating into recessives growing gills and scales. I reckon if we want to stop the space aliens from Texas were going to need nukes and bayonets.

2016
In James Yaniks Dorm Room
(James turns off his alarm clock and grabs his cell phone off his charger)
JamesYanik: 23 new forum posts? pfft. Lets see who responded to my thread about devaluing Chinese currency…
Eden? Eden? Who the hell is President Eden? ND? Krellin? KansasBoyd? Who are these people and why are they all commenting on my threads…?
Incoming call from Prado Bae
JamesYanik: Prado what up my dude!
TrPrado: Yooo James what up. I saw your thread was blowing up man this is crazy. Webdip is getting soooo conservative.
JamesYanik: Jeeze man I know. This is crazy, 23 new messages about locking up Hillary and this thread wasn't even about that!!
TrPrado: Yea man. Hey so uh listen.. I was wondering if you could go to the library and look into something for me..
JamesYanik: (putting his giant bottle of hand lotion away) Uhh.. the Library? Do people still use those? Just use wikipedia and reutters. I checked real clear politics today and Hillary is up by 20 points on trump by the way.
TrPrado: Yea.. that's great man. Im serious I think I may have discovered something really crazy about our state. It's kind of a huge deal man.
JamesYanik: Oh no don't tell me the Sooners are gonna go on probation or something.
TrPrado: No No… it's not about the Sooners.. It's about Panhandling'.
JamesYanik: Panhandlin’?
TrPrado: Yea.. it's what we were afraid of man..
JamesYanik: You mean…
TrPrado: Yea.. that's what I mean. We need to go back to the wild west.
JamesYanik: Back when the forum was pure. And conservative men could openly talk about their hate filled views on women?
TrPrado: Okay yea maybe we're not on the same page…So remember Bleedin’ Kansas? Well when John Brown was starting up his abolitionist movement in Kansas, there was a guy down in the Oklahoma Panhandle doing the same. His name was Panhandlin' Kestas. The difference was Kestas was this hands off charlaton who finally decided he was down for doing his own movement to abolish boomers. He didn't care about slavery he just didn't like seniors, gray hairs, blue hairs, purple hat ladies, red sox fans, none of it. He was tired of hearing boomer sooner all the time so he was trying to get all the people over 65 out of the panhandle for good. So he started this high stakes poker tournament and invited all the big names of the time and started calling himself the Governor of the panhandle. Kestas went all out for the event, he called in big donors, he even brought in a zultar machine.
JamesYanik: What is a zultar machine?
TrPrado: Its this really cool thing that does all these quirky fortunes and future tellings for people and then eventually it just gets tired and overworked and shuts itself down.
So anyway the tournament is going great, until people start dying. Gun battles start erupting, covered wagons everywhere, blood spray, its like Django. And I need you to go help me find out more about it.
JamesYanik: Panhandlin’, you can count on me pradobear
TrPrado: Yes, Panhandlin’, please never call me that again

Oh, give me a home where the cow and bull roam,
Where the fox and the mountain ram play,
Where seldom is heard an unmannerly word
And the skies are not cloudy all day. ~♪
Home, home on the Alm,
Where the fox and the mountain ram play;
Where seldom is heard an unmannerly word
And the skies are not cloudy all day. ~♫
Where the water is so pure, the Föhn so free,
The breezes so balmy and light,
That I would not exchange my home on the Alm
For all of the cities so bright. ~♪
Home, home on the Alm,
Where the fox and the mountain ram play;
Where seldom is heard an unmannerly word
And the skies are not cloudy all day. ~♫
The Hun man was pressed from this part of the East
He's likely no more to return,
To the banks of Blue River where seldom if ever
Their flickering flash lights shine. ~♪
Home, home on the Alm,
Where the fox and the mountain ram play;
Where seldom is heard an unmannerly word
And the skies are not cloudy all day. ~♫
How often at night when the heavens are bright
With the light from the glittering stars
Have I stood here amazed and asked as I gazed
If their glory exceeds that of ours. ~♪
Home, home on the Alm,
Where the fox and the mountain ram play;
Where seldom is heard an unmannerly word
And the skies are not cloudy all day. ~♫
Oh, I love these wild pastures where I roam
The Zizibe I love to hear sing,
And I love the grey rocks and the bovine flocks
That graze on the mountain-tops green. ~♪
Home, home on the Alm,
Where the fox and the mountain ram play;
Where seldom is heard an unmannerly word
And the skies are not cloudy all day. ~♫
Oh, give me a land where the brown muddy sand
Flows leisurly down the stream;
Where the graceful White Stork goes gliding along
Like a Madl in a heavenly dream. ~♪
Home, home on the Alm,
Where the fox and the mountain ram play;
Where seldom is heard an unmannerly word
And the skies are not cloudy all day. ~♫
Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas
NRA, Cowboy, Rangers
space aliens, Uranium mines, mutating
I predict this will be a setting with many shots (maybe full vig?).
There is a chance for a third party (with the alien/mutating hints). That might just be flavour for the mafia though.
The song Home of the Range and the Rosswell-Incident have the same date connection (song is since the 30th of June official state song of Kansas, the Roswell-Incident says that a UFO crash landed in June or July 1947 in Roswell, news reports of a flying saucer happened on the 8th of July in 1947).
So I'm not sure if it's a setting with a 3rd party (which would be aliens) and a state conflict because of the panhandle (with town and mafia being from different states) or aliens are just the mafia flavour, but we definitely know we should shoot the aliens.
Also I think from the hints (mutating!) that the alien(s?) have the power to multiply, so we definitely should concentrate on aliens first, right?
Anyway, this is all just the thoughts before any further information, maybe I'm totally wrong and we know more after the start post. Then again, maybe it will be intentionally obscured and we know nothing more than just our role PM.
0.1% chance it is a "everyone's vig except Flum" setting with neither mafia nor 3rd party and it's just a "oh those shootfriendly southerners have just halluzinated aliens" setting.
also this
I'm still surprised we didn't get any more information about the setup, only more the flavour and it's about previous players/website members. Then again, I haven't read the last post as deeply as the ones so maybe I've overlooked something. Anything you have noticed?

Well I thought we maybe get something. A hint, some revelation about the enemy, maybe a number or two, with that I feel lost now, but I guess that's what a closed setup is supposed to do.
What do you think about my ideas about the 3rd party? We might not have only one threat but two?

There is absolutely no way of anybody knowing that unless they are Third Party.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 9:20 pmWell I thought we maybe get something.
