Rule Iii should not be adopted in future games.
I think Star Trek is a litkely source.

Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
I disagree with Star Trek being likely: as far as I recall most of the non-gendered characters have supernatural powers.
In addition, most of the characters on this list do not have Wikipedia pages. I thought that was the standard for "obscurity".

I am not asking a question yet.
Team - do you think it is worth asking whether the character is mentioned in this article?

Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
In my opinion that is unlikely: there are too many dubiously qualifying factors. ("does not have hair", "world with sentient animals", "no supernatural powers", "cannot be established whether real creature")
Not to mention that as far as I can tell these characters were not in the Star Trek movies.

I can make it even harder to sort through this list by reminding you all that only one film appearance is not obscure.han-shahanshah wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 3:40 amTo fellow guessers: does anyone have a good way to sort through this?

I don't think our humble question master ever specifically said which way he interpreted this, he just answered "no". Can we ask for clarification without using up another question?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 3:46 pmI assume you mean sentient animals not including humans?han-shahanshah wrote: ↑Sat Mar 04, 2023 3:27 pmCould be some animal or an alien or a fantasy character.
Does this character feature in a world with sentient animals?
Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
Humans are animals, of course. So you all expended a question there.DougJoe wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 8:58 pmI don't think our humble question master ever specifically said which way he interpreted this, he just answered "no". However, I'll give away that I'm not sure that I'd even count the broader question if you did ask it since I'm not entirely sure that I could answer it.

Ok. Point of self-correction: I miswrote my previous message and the original answer to the question was "yes" (I'd go back and edit it if I could).JECE wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 3:00 amHumans are animals, of course. Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
Quiet here.
Thoughts:
The thing that's intriguing to me about this is question 10, the "unclear" about an animated film, coupled with Q 17, not a puppet or costume.
I'm starting to wonder if this character is some sort of stop motion or claymation character (as opposed to drawn, although drawn in a live action setting crossed my mind) - I looked at a few (Gumby, Mr. Bill, Rex the Runt) but none really seemed to fit. Gumby only had one movie, Mr. Bill seems to be male ("Mister" and sources seem to refer to him as him), and Wikipedia specifically calls Rex a dog.
I can't think of any other "medium" for a TV character... not sure I want to blow the last Q on asking about it, though.

Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
To me the "hairless" question is important. That immediately disqualifies most mammal-types. Maybe it's a tree.
Hey wait a second...
-would explain the animated film confusion
-trees are genderless
-not supernatural being
-not exactly the same as real creature
It may be worth looking into plant characters.

Found this in the Wikipedia category? but he appears to have hair and perhaps supernatural powers.

Someone go on and ask the next question already.

Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
Be careful here. There is more than one reason why it might not be clear-cut whether or not this is a real type of creature. Consider scenarios where you could reasonably answer either yes or no.

Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
No because I think that we established that we cannot assume it's even a generally real type of animal. See my commentary about Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Re: XX Questions - Game XCVII
Is it worth ascertaining the country the tv programme originated? Probably US or British (Aus NZ Can Ire unlikely).
Suggest asking if country of origin is USA. But want at least 2 supporters.
Another thing we don't know is whether the programme is based on earth. Maybe that's worth asking.

It's tough for me to give hints or clarify further because you will probably immediately get the reference. But try to think broader than that!Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 2:57 pmNo because I think that we established that we cannot assume it's even a generally real type of animal.
