Mafia is clearly okay flipping on that wagon. Nobody off wagon is dying this skills be setting off alarm bells that there's mafia off wagon.

My problem is that it's never actually RDR and Bozo I just actually have no idea who is wolfier.
Thread consensus there seems like RDR is wolfier and I could see that.
I guess I should say Chaqa/RDR or Bozo/+1

wagons will change around, so it doesn't mean much. the only time your vote matters is at 5:00 tomorrow. it's not nothing, thoughKoalaAttack wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 8:45 amSorry, but I have one more question for the group:
Chaqa (3) lfischl KoalaAttack Princess Neon*
TheFlyingBoat (3) bozotheclown Chaqa President Eden
President Eden (1) Bonatogether
lfischl (1) BK3K
BK3K (1) TheFlyingBoat
So right now the vote is tied at 3 and 3 – and Chaqa has voted for TFB who is their closest competing wagon, while TFB votes for BK3K saying they don't mind drawing an OMGUS vote for it, which would put TFB to 4-1
Instinctively, this makes me go "Suspect Chaqa more, Suspect TFB less"
But at the same time, it's still Day 4 deadline: 1 day, 13 hours, 17 minutes and we also had a big discussion on being defensive vs not as a Townie... so maybe it's way to early to read into this?
Experienced players who are non-Chaqa and non-TFB – how much or how little should I be reading into this?

At this point I don't know what to do. I am at Playa del Carmen on vacation and I just don't have much time for the game.
I think scumteam is Eden, Neon and a third one.

OMGUS. but so do ITheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 7:46 am##vote bk3k
maybe this gets me an OMGUS return vote but I feel better about this than Chaqa if lfischl is supposed to be a teammate like many do.
Now I could see a world in which it is ghug/BK3K/Chaqa + 1 but again I don't like either rdr or bozo as bussers here very much. I suppose I could see it being Koala, but I found his early game pretty towny so idk.

Re: MAFIA 78: Random Facts [GAME THREAD] - [HIDDEN]
What’s actually going on with Yoda, linguistically? First, let’s examine how Yoda doesn’t speak. Many of the world’s most-spoken languages—English, Mandarin—are built around constructions that go subject-verb-object. An example would be: Yoda grasped the lightsaber.
Another common construction, and one you’d find more commonly among speakers of Japanese, Albanian, and many other languages, goes subject-object-verb: Yoda the lightsaber grasped. More rare is a verb-subject-object construction, but that’s how people who speak Hawaiian and some Celtic languages do it: Grasped Yoda the lightsaber. Even more unusual is the way Yoda famously speaks, ordering his sentences object-subject-verb, or OSV: The lightsaber Yoda grasped. Or, to use an example from an actual Yoda utterance: “Much to learn, you still have.”
“This is a clever device for making him seem very alien,” said Geoff Pullum, a professor of linguistics at the University of Edinburgh. “You have to do some work to realize that his, ‘Much to learn, you still have,’ means ‘You still have much to learn.’” There are other fictional examples of characters who speak like Yoda. Bowyer, from the 1996 Super Nintendo game, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, says things like, “Fun this is, yes?” and “Disturb me, you must not! Practicing I am.” But what about in the real world?
“Surprisingly, there are a very few languages—it seems to be in single digits—that use OSV as their basic or normal order,” Pullum told wrote. “As far as I know, they occur only in the area of Amazonia in Brazil: they are South American Indian languages. One well-described case is a language called Nadëb.”
VOTE COUNT
(4): lfischl, KoalaAttack, Princess Neon, BK3K--- Chaqa
(3): bozotheclown, Chaqa, President Eden--- TheFlyingBoat
(2): Bonatother, rdrivera--- President Eden
(1): ThyFlyingBoat--- BK3K
End Princess Neon has voted.
Chaqa death sentence is receiving at this time.
More than a day you all have.

@Eden: you actually believe Neon?
Why would anyone claim there. It's worse than worcej's claims.

I don't know why Neon would claim, but i don't know why a scum would lie even less. Lying seems like it would be an incredibly short sighted play, no?

Who cares why anyone would claim there? Look at the surrounding corroborating evidence.
Re: MAFIA 78: Random Facts [GAME THREAD] - [HIDDEN]
I think it's important to ask why, but i agree that it seems likely.President Eden wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 2:03 pmWho cares why anyone would claim there? Look at the surrounding corroborating evidence.
Unless I'm missing something, the options are:
1) lying scum - the real Dr will know and immediately know your scum. They can either push or if they die and flip doc, neon will be exposed
2) lying town - same as above, except now we mk neon. This is very bad for town
3) truth telling - i don't think i would reveal if it were me, but options one and two seem insane
Plus the whole sword afk thing lends credence to the whole thing
What do we do with this info? Idk. But that's my thinking above

Re: MAFIA 78: Random Facts [GAME THREAD] - [HIDDEN]
It's just as easily explained by someone thinking mafia would expect Flum to be protected and deciding to self-protect N1, which could be true of literally any one of us. And given the rise of town fakeclaims, if I were the doctor I might not be so quick to assume CCing nets a scum when Neon could be town trying to shake Swordsman's stink.President Eden wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 2:03 pmWho cares why anyone would claim there? None of this shit matters without a CC. It’s all self-resolving. Hence why I keep saying some variant of “claim or no balls.” I’ll think about whether Neon fakeclaimed as town or scum if someone CCs.Chaqa wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 2:22 pmIt's just as easily explained by someone thinking mafia would expect Flum to be protected and deciding to self-protect N1, which could be true of literally any one of us. Still odd that they didn't roleblock+kill Neon, but i guess the guaranteed brain kill was not a bad play.
