Well, for the Town version, I have a reason why they wouldn't – I would imagine an experienced player who is Town would take care not to make silly mistakes like calling out something that's not true, to avoid drawing unnecessary attention / suspicion to themselves (which is exactly what just happened!)

For the Mafia version... I am not sure, actually. I've only experienced it from the adversary POV in games so far. But I imagine it's to try to provoke something from me, especially myself being a newbie who would be a ripe target for this.

But one of the learnings last game – which actually worcej taught me, to his credit – was that over-applying logic leads to damnation.

So let me rephrase for emphasis – "folks more experienced with Mafia in general and also playing with President Eden in particular (assuming my inference of them being a veteran is correct), is this suspicious?"

I've never seen him play in action, y'all know him much better than i do in that regard. If he's scum, I'd imagine he'd try to exploit my inexperience.

In the work game, he was very good at sussing out people's motivations, much better than the 15 n00bs, so the scum voted him out first. Idk, he taught us that voting out town early isn't a sign of guilt and how to watch clues of town knowing nothing and scum knowing everything. All stuff obvious to you guys but it takes a few times to learn, esp when the whole group is inexperienced

how do you think you would be exploited?

Someone said something that was a mistake a scum wouldn't make and he asked if anyone else saw it. We were all too new to be that clever to fake it.

How would he exploit me? I guess if i knew, i wouldn't be exploited by it. I assume you are more experienced in thinking through deeper levels of WIFOM than I, but maybe that's a mind fuck for anyone, regardless of experience

I think ghug, koala, Bk, you (eden), have shown some town scent thus far.
