Re: MAFIA 77: RETURN TO THE WEST [GAME THREAD] - [HIDDEN]
Time for Shabbat dinner at my parents. So here is my last post of the night (perhaps of the game):
Don’t f*** this up—just finish it and make it easy for each other.
Ah…that felt good.

Anyone who has not voted yet, vote!
If I am a Gambler – which I most definitely am, otherwise why insist on this – and I don't find a binding vote from you when reading before EON, I'm going to count that as a vote against you :)

EON thoughts for you:
My vote is on Chaqa – but I still also suspect Balki, and I think Bo being Town gives Bozo some Mafia points due to the unpairing post I made before. So my suspects are those 3 ATM.
If I get killed tonight - regardless of my role – anyone who did not vote gets Mafia points because they thought they were killing the Gambler (even if I am the CWV), so they thought they can get away without putting their vote on the line.

I said that because I was almost mis-killed D4, and things like this:Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:49 pmWhy do you say you are the "obvious mis-kill target D5"?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:24 pmSince I am the obvious mis-kill target D5 after being wrong about bo_sox, this post has me concerned that Balki has been pocketing me and is now setting up a justification to vote for me.
I don't think there is anything obvious about who will be chopped next. There are good reasons to chop any of the remaining VTs. Why do you say that?

I am reconsidering all non-clears, where did I say I wasn't?rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:45 pmWhat the hell bussing have to do with voting a town? I tend to agree with Balki you are just tryng to look busy. Also, your top scum read from days flipping town didn’t make you to reconsider anything?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:13 pmThere is typically some bussing going on, which is why I thought it was worth looking at.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 3:59 pm
This is the first post from Bozo that has really drawn my attention. It bears the hallmarks of “pretend work.” I’m not sure why it would be important to enumerate all of the potential bussing combinations other than to make someone look busy.
What is your opinion of damo, rdrivera, and lfischl all ending on yavuzovic D2?
Also you didn't answer my question about Bo.
I am not sure what question I missed, I will look for it.

Re: MAFIA 77: RETURN TO THE WEST [GAME THREAD] - [HIDDEN]
End of Night Four:
It seemed like just any other night. Over in the saloon, the piano player was playing "The Drunkard's Hell". It didn't seem so hellish to the drunkards assembled tonight. Until recently, the Sheriff would insist on closing the bar at midnight, but now? Well, now there was no Sheriff. It must have been at least 3am, and there were still a fair few folks, sipping whiskey and sharing tall tales. Or, at one table, playing cards.
"Shorty", they called him, but not on account of his stature, more on account of his name. Truth be told he was anything but short, a bear of a man, you might say. And a mean card player. Well, usually. Lately though, he'd been on a bad streak.
No matter, lady luck would smile again soon... right?
Running low on funds and realising the time, he said his goodbyes to his fellow players and wandered outside. The cold early morning air hit him suddenly. Then, from behind, something else hit him too. Hard. His lights were out before he even hit the dirt.
KoalaAttack has died. He was Luke Short, the Gambler!
DAY FIVE HAS STARTED

I think all the mafia ending on the same wagon would be atypical, although possible.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:51 pmI don't have any particular opinion about that data point. Well perhaps the laws of physics cease to exist on your stove! Were these magic grits? I mean, did you buy them from the same guy who sold Jack his beanstalk beans?!

Isn't it optimal to No Kill today at 4-2?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:16 pmI think all the mafia ending on the same wagon would be atypical, although possible.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:51 pmI don't have any particular opinion about that data point. damo is correct, that is what I was suggesting, and asking your opinion about.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 8:18 pmI'm not sure he is suggesting that. I don't really know what he is suggesting. So I asked.damo666 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 7:57 pmHe's suggesting that rdr and I are an unlikely scumpair as we were both on the yav wagon as was scumfish as he deems it unlikely all scum would be on the same wagon. And guess what he is right. But unless it is precisely rdr/Chaqa either you or Bozo [or both] already know that.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:51 pm

I guess I should be explicit. I am assuming that BunnyGo is the CWV. No need for him to tell us if that is true.
So if we do not kill, Mafia have to kill in the VT pool, or sacrifice one of their own.
Pretty sure it is optimal to No Kill.

I think it would be considered optimal with no town clears, but not usually with one town clear. Considering the town PR roles still out there, it is not clear to me if it is optimal this game.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:17 pmIsn't it optimal to No Kill today at 4-2?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:16 pmI think all the mafia ending on the same wagon would be atypical, although possible.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 4:51 pm

I guess that turns out badly if Mafia have a strongman. That is one downside. But I think I'd take that gamble considering we don't lose the game with a strongman.

Doesn't that equation change with the CWV?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 11:22 pmI think it would be considered optimal with no town clears, but not usually with one town clear.
