CANNON - A firearm which makes a loud noise and fires a cannonball which will kill the target. May be fired night or day. PM both GMs in the format ##SHOOT [TARGET]. At night it adjudicates at EoN. During the day the shot will be adjudicated as soon as the GM sees your message.

It looks like Durga is claiming more to get info and less because she actually has a cannon. Although I could be wrong. I hope she really doesn't have the cannon though, because that gives mafia info. I do think a potential cannon vote might be useful even if the cannon holder doesn't shoot, which I don't think they should.

Could someone do me a favour and summarize Damo's play in previous games?

I think it's a bad idea for cannon shots to be rushed on behalf of the town before we know anything. I could potentially embrace the town collectively utilizing the cannons after EON1.

But forcing the hand of Mafia is good too. If the Mafia has a cannon they will keep it for as long as possible because they will want to shoot claears with it. If they don't shoot who we tell them now we will know the cannon is with Mafia and eventually we will know who has what item so that holding the shot to shoot a clear will cost them.

I do not know if claiming the cannons was a good idea with the RB and thief acting before the cannon at EON, but since Durga has already claimed a cannon, I think the other cannon should claim and we should vote on the targets for N0, to maximize the information gained.

ghug: the five potential clears are the two nurses, the electroshield, the birthday card and the detective, they can only be town.

brainbomb: if the Mafia roleblock and kill the cannon holder that could mean they may be trying to protect the target we selected, that would also be somewhat informative. And the cannon holder is not one of the potential clears anyway, so it's not a bad NK for town, better than them NKing a potential clear. Cannon holders should not be afraid of being NK'd. It means the detective won't be roleblocked and killed before giving us their scan.

I think both cannon holders need to claim for the plan to be most effective, because forcing a scum to claim if they have a cannon is an important part of it. We will most likely find out who has what item at some point by process of elimination, and then if they had a cannon and didn't claim it could help us catch them. If they are forced to claim their gun they are less likely to be able to use it effectively.

GM NOTE:

Since I have been asked to clarify, the ARMOUR does protect against the NK as well as shots from a CANNON.

Remember the Armour, like other items, works only once. If someone with Armour was both shot at, and targeted by the NK, on the same night, they would still die.

Otherwise theyd stay silent and have no reason to claim
