Re: 20 Questions - Game #75
At this point how do we want to rule out further countries?
I thought of asking whether he was a national of a country that uses the CFA franc, or narrowing that question further to the West African CFA franc.
We could instead ask whether he is anglophone, or whether he is francophone. But I feel like that could leave ambiguity if he was bilingual.
Neither of these approaches would help us if he is actually Ethiopian or from a neighboring country.

He may well have been, but it's not what made him famous. His wiki page does not mention his wealth.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Dec 23, 2022 5:15 pmWas he wealthy (by which I mean, let's say, a Dollar Millionaire or equivalent) ?

I think we should continue asking about the profession. Maybe we will ask (not an official question yet) whether he was a doctor, a scientist, an engineer or a religious leader? Shall we add anything to this group?

Why do you keep including "religious leader" when that choice has been turned down several times?
Potato, potato; potato.

Interesting niche. He's a black man from Northern Africa or a block of the world where we probably don't instinctively associate with black skin. Famous enough that we should know of him but not in a way that was associated with leadership, entertainment/arts, athleticism, or anything that could be translated into wealth.
If they're 'famous enough' and not wealthy in that block of the world that doesn't hit any of those backgrounds has to be either religion i'm thinking it's either somebody associated with religion (as supl13 said), some significant event, or some kind of activist/hero/villain. Tough one.
Just rambling in hopes somebody more knowledgable then me gets a

When was it turned down? Only a muslim cleric has been excluded. That still leaves Christian figures.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Dec 24, 2022 1:13 amWhy do you keep including "religious leader" when that choice has been turned down several times?

Was he a scientist, an engineer, a medical doctor or a religious leader or cleric?
Re: 20 Questions - Game #75
So that narrows it down to 24 countries of origin.
Does the currency of his native country employ the word 'franc'?
Re: 20 Questions - Game #75
Does Chukwunonso Chukwejekwu pass the obscurity test? He was a Cameroon businessman.
Not an official guess. Asking fellow players.

Re: 20 Questions - Game #75
No.
Two questions left, I will give a hint. Politician is the profession that had me doubting for a minute. I still believe no is the correct answer, but that's the general direction.
Re: 20 Questions - Game #75
So I make the country of origin one of
Sudan
South Sudan
Eritrea
Gambia
Ghana
Liberia
Mauritania
Nigeria
Sierra Leone
Sao Tome & Principe [maybe just crosses equator?]

Re: 20 Questions - Game #75
(Not an official question) If not quite a politician, then maybe some sort of diplomat or an ambassador?
