Do people most commonly play this sport wearing shorts?
Potato, potato; potato.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 68
This is just plain creepy. How the hell did you guess Bubka out of nowhere?
Correct!

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 68
Well, not just any pole vaulter. He was world champion 6 times in a row, the first 3 representing the Sovjet Union, the last 3 representing Ukraine. He broke the world record outdoor 17 times and indoor 18 times. First man over 6 meters.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:48 amWho?

He is the pole vaulter all others are measured by.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 68
Objection, you can't play with your pole without effecting the balls!
But joke aside, what a guess, well done!

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 68
Not particularly but as a Track and Field Olympian Bubka is in the same league as Carl Lewis, Jesse Owens and that Finnish bloke.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 11:45 pmYou're a fan of pole vaulting, I assume?damo666 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 19, 2022 12:11 amDefinitely not obscureJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:48 amWho?

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 68
So, Szpoti should make the new thread for number 70, right? Or does our winner prefer to guess again instead?

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 68
I think Bubka's fame goes beyond pole vaulting or light athletics in general. He was more of a figure, certainly explored by the Soviets for propaganda reasons, but the fact remains that he was one helluva of a sportsman. The 6-metre mark was something of the moon landing.
I'll post a new thread very soon, busy weekend.
