Re: M76 - Dungeons and Dragons - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Sussing random no posters as a blind guess to kick the tires on all of them is barf. Those are just words to say words.
Talk about laying some groundwork to justify a latter vote on a bunch of different wagons

I mean he said nothing wrong. He said at most there might be one mafia in that pool. It's not like he's attacking them.Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:18 pmSussing random no posters as a blind guess to kick the tires on all of them is barf. Those are just words to say words.

Why the overreaction

I would feel better if he was attacking them.
It came across to be as at best, filler nonsense, and at worst, a way to say - don’t forget about these 4 that if a wagon where to start I might vote for and nobody could grill me for it after the fact.

Re: M76 - Dungeons and Dragons - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I would have felt way better had he picked one and said “let’s kill a lurker. %%vote XYZ.”
Because that is committed to starting a wagon. What he did is add an out to join multiple wagons if they started and if he wants a potential miskill. I don’t like that stuff

GM mentioned some kind of post requirement, but I don't recall seeing references to that before this point. Did I msis something?

@wolfu - If I start a wagon on one of those four are you willing to follow me?
Re: M76 - Dungeons and Dragons - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
that is the opposite of sussing them, sirTom Bombadil wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:18 pmSussing random no posters as a blind guess to kick the tires on all of them is barf. Those are just words to say words.

i am suggesting that the number of scum among them is, at best, essentially equal to random chance. i would not wagon any of them today. in my experience people usually get suspicious of inactive slots and they flip town more often than not
appreciate the thought from you but you've got my meaning all wrong
Re: M76 - Dungeons and Dragons - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
and you could say that placing them that low on my list means i have to suspect them by default but that's not really my intention. i just can't argue for them being higher than that. i'm probably wrong on a townread somewhere because i don't expect to be perfect on day 1 but that's the best answer i have given the information available to me

Thanks. (though I was admittedly more curious what this was stated, I can't find it in either the signup or the opening, but maybe I'm just overlooking something obvious)BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:40 pmIt's a minimum of three postsRumi Tobari wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:29 pmSpeaking of the inactive playersTom Bombadil wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 6:26 pmI would feel better if he was attacking them.

interesting. what have you learned about bozo?wolfu wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 5:48 pmuh i felt it because i have an operating assumption based on experience with mechanically oriented players that they do things like that silly survey but it was not strong because it is day 1 lol. and that sort of generic template i am using slowly gets erased as i get more information to fill in my mental profile of the playerBonatogether wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 5:40 pmwhat makes you feel it and what makes it not as sure, for you? explique
ok but brain's descriptions were based on damo's alignment. do you know his alignment?
no i don't know damo's alignment dude, i don't have to observe he is acting like how brainbomb described him, do i?
to agree with brainbomb's assessment of his play as each alignment, you necessarily have to know damo's alignment

It would be one thing to say this is NAI but why in the world would you townread him for this?Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 4:21 pmI’m shocked nobody brought this up until now. I don’t think that’s riveras style, so I strongly townread him for it. Maybe he slipped that in but I believe him.brainbomb wrote: ↑Wed Sep 14, 2022 4:15 pmspeaking of rdrivera, there is a meta going around right now across some other mafia servers where a scum player pretends to not know the game had started. Just has me running like a gerbil in a wheel in my brain now.
there ya go darg. theres a tinfoil theory for ya
Rivera faked knowing the game had started so he could be exempt from having done anything night 0

Day-1 42:10
page 4 Hello fellow townies. Sorry for being late and losing all the joke phase. I just forgot the game will start today. The good thing is Brain, Snowy and Jamiet aren´t on the game, so it´s just three pages to read.
Some quick first impressions:
For me it´s obviously stated both on the signup thread and on the meme first post with the PMs that the game have a 6 hours pre-game where Mafia can talk. Both Ogion and OB seems to not have understood it, which look weird and Tom called out Ogion on that and not OB. something to notice. I was considering it could be some bias I have after our last game together, but seems there is already a wagon on him, so it´s not only me.
Y2k is a scum role and he also refered to the scum PM as a "joke". Using the too scum to be scum tactic?
The others didn´t catch my attention. Bo is bo and Ghug is scummy, but he is always scummy to me. Oztra is oztra, but he is always VT, so it doesn´t matter.
I like Prado´s approach to the game, but maybe is also bias from our last game together.
A bit worried that 4 of our newbies didn´t show until now, it could turn into a problem considering we don´t have a post requirement.
I will be online and awake for the next 30 minutes if someone want to talk.
any thoughts?
