Re: Twenty Questions - Game 48
Was he best known as a business leader like a CEO or similar?
I think someone like George Soros would qualify this way, but he's still alive.Hmmm, how else can you be involved in politics without being a politician?
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 48

I wouldn't say 'best known' for this, but yes, he was a CEO or similar.SenatorNyxen wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 3:26 pmWas he best known as a business leader like a CEO or similar?

Hmmm, I was tempted to say Ferdinand Porsche, but I looked him up and he was actually Austrian. Definitely not more than 20M population.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 48
I think we can agree to accept this as the correct answer!
Ferdinand Porsche!
Your question was 'From a country with a population greater than 20M?'. You didn't specify what timeframe you were referring to, so I took it literally as the country he was born in. He was born in 1875, and that means that his Czech birth town was a part of Austria-Hungary, which at that time hosted more than 20 million citizens.
On many occasions, some seemingly straightforward questions cannot be answered yes/no. The same applies to his involvement in politics. Not strictly a politician, but involved in the Nazi heavy industry, and state-subsidised industry and politics are inseparably intertwined.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 48
Right! Yes, lots of ambiguity there I can see. Also he died in January 1951, so 1950 was cutting it close too.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 48
Your hint about him being somewhat involved in politics did help though. I was aware he had designed the Volkswagen Beetle on a contract from Hitler, so a scientist without a degree with government involvement led me to him.
