President Eden wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 2:41 pmMy take is extremely motivated because I scrapped with Byz a fair bit D1 so take it with a grain of salt, but from my perspective:
Byz and I had a very turgid back-and-forth for most of D1 which was mostly a result of genuine playstyle differences. Byz indicated he was busy in other games and having trouble staying afloat. However, near the end of D1 he essentially just started making shit up about me and arguing in a transparently disingenuous way about our conversation, so Bona and I tried to kill him. (Jamie had also caught him in a bit of duplicity, and Chaqa and Rumi were sufficiently unimpressed with Byz’s honesty to vote him as well. ghug tried to break a tie by voting Byz, but shenanigans occurred.)
Sabi ran up damo basically on nothing but sheer force of will and was consciously protecting Byz, who is a friend of Sabi’s from another site. A few townies were more impressed by how loud and confident Byz and Sabi were than by logic and reason and voted for damo. I think some mafia were on the damo train too.
As for those shenanigans, basically the wagons were tied with about five minutes to go, and ghug and Vecna simultaneously moved to break the tie in opposite directions, which actually preserved the tie. They ended up scrambling around trying not to tie, and both ended up damo, making it 7-5. Pyx came in from the top of the key at the last second to vote Byz but was too late (iirc) to count (not that it would have changed the outcome).
Alright; makes sense to me. Assuming you're airtight town, sort of alleviates any nagging suspicion of Vecna.

So what exactly does this mean for the identity of the driver? The Snowy is driver thing sounded really really plausible.

Wow.
That is quite remarkable on a number of levels:
1. Snowy was scum. Woo-hoo, I actually caught a scum. Hurrah.
2. He was not the scum role I predicted, which is interesting.
3. He did not have the Deathbomb, but not only that, he probably never had it and was fake-claiming it yesterday.
4. It's ironic that the Godfather ended up with the Innocent nametag, the one that was totally useless to him. Since the Godfather does not have a visit unless they are the one to perform the NK, I wonder where he got it from or if he was wearing it all along?
5. Ghug is now mechanically 100% clear.

It means we have no bloody idea who the Driver is, apart from the fact that it mechanically cannot be Hamilton Brian.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 3:06 pmSo what exactly does this mean for the identity of the driver? The Snowy is driver thing sounded really really plausible.

The Bus Driver theory was partly based on his Deathbomb claim potentially being true.

I'm missing the reasoning. But I feel like it has something to do with the nametags, or maybe Neon's florist visit.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 3:10 pmIt means we have no bloody idea who the Driver is, apart from the fact that it mechanically cannot be Hamilton Brian.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 3:06 pmSo what exactly does this mean for the identity of the driver?
