.....aren’t you like 3 years younger than me

Also age is a scam I was told I’d acquire wisdom with it. Well where is it huh? I want a refund

@Rumi as the only remaining new player (all the rest subbed out fun ny eh) I really do think you’re doing a great job and hope you don’t get turned off by some of the shit slinging going on. On average this is a pretty nice place to play mafia. And it’s great that you’re suspicious of comments like this even but if you asked literally anyone else I think they’d tell you the same thing.
if memory serves, I have you beat by a year or possibly two. I turned 30 last January. (I took a few years between undergrad and law school so if you were reverse engineering my age from my graduating last year, congratulations, you played yourself!)

and yes, true

Oh okay I'm not 30 yet and we're not going to talk about how soon I am going to be

For the purposes of "is 30" there might as well be no difference between me and bona

I'm also subbing out so you might still get Maniac

Suck it losers peace
Wait what
Yeah sorry to do this to you after you put your neck out for me
But I have better things to do in life than be spat on by an overgrown manchild all day and for RHK to do nothing here is inexcusable and a failure on his part as a GM

Ongoing game so I'll leave most of it for post game discussions though no need to bring the mood down even further

For what it is worth, I know you think I'm an asshole, fair enough. But actually my fury earlier wasn't directed at you. It was directed at town for letting themselves be manipulated by your antics.

If you took it personally then I repeat my apology. I actually think you've been playing a reasonable scum game. I'm genuinely annoyed that Sabi was miskilled, but I could have articulated that with less swearing.

FWIW also, DemonRHK did correspond with me, primarily to check my mental state tbh, but also to privately warn me about my general conduct.

Hate me if you like but don't shit on the GM.

Bo you probably didn't get to read this post at D2 -00:15 before EOD

This does not answer the question ghug asked at all, so please answer it, and then answer the one I have from this post: why are you okay with killing someone you think is town in order to get rid of a nametag? What about it scares you so much?
I answered this re: Snowy asking me

Kinda weird you're just fine with 2 town dying like that
Like someone do the lylo math but I feel like it's not looking that great even now (not that it's all that bad either but an extra death would definitely have an impact)
It's because I think Deathbomb gets worse and worse for town in the late game. I was already thinking this back at this post in N1.

Feeling big sad that there's not a vig to shoot Sabi during the night, given deathbomb is a hinderance for town (imo) and we would all be better off with the nametag gone.
Maybe I'm calculating the odds wrong. But in my mind, a Deathbomb _that we cannot track because people have already used their peeks_ just leads us to being afraid to DK actual scum, for fear of taking out a townie with them. It's going to freeze us up later on.
Back to my question, Bo, what does your IRL schedule for D3 look like? Will you be able to be more active than you were on D2? I again say that I believe we will need your experience and scumhunting skills.
I am road tripping across Wyoming and feel like I’ve done a lot more than I should be for someone supposedly on vacation already. Even if I weren’t, posting 150+ times a day as I used to does not do good things for my sanity so don’t expect online-all-the-time dedication from me in mafia games going forward regardless of my schedule. I’m not playing in a way that burns me out so badly anymore.

Hey everyone. I really didn't expect to be subbed in so soon, ahead of Maniac, but it's nice to be back playing. I wish I had been able to attend from the start but life...

I have kept some track of events (voting) and some particular players (Snowy, Eden for instance) but have 0 concept of the mechanics in this spot.

Oh, hi Brian!!
Is there anything that you can tell me about Brian as a person?

By the way, the backup list said Maniac is next (and from what I've read in the thread, that's supposed to be a bad thing), why did we get Brian instead, out of curiosity. Is it some weird bureaucratic formality in how subs are chosen or something?
Mentally deficient as a mafia player although I try. Marginal as town, horrible as mafia.

Well, part of it was committing to the act so I could try to draw a kill. I was thinking about things but most of what I was considering got turned on its head by the Dargo and Sabi flips.

I’ll hopefully be able to review more later, but I think rivera is scummy and I think mafia would totally swap the bomb onto their own so I’m currently like 75%+ on snowy being scum.
i’ll let you work as to the rest, but i have to know why the fuck you would think you would draw a kill as a no voter who is using the no vote as an excuse not to care lol. you might as well have a neon sign on your beanie saying “I’M NOT A THREAT LEAVE ME ALONE”
Well, there was supposed to be a level of “what if Chaqa is a cop” which only Bo thought of, so it clearly wasn’t the best plan, but my PR plans never seem to work lol
Why do you think I’m the only one that thought this? You seemed surprised that I thought this at EOD, and yet now you say that was part of the plan?

You’re confusing me and I’m finding less reason now knowing my first intuition was wrong to just let you do your thing.

you can think of us as having two sets of roles.

set 1 is your normal roles (cop doc etc) which determine your faction.
set 2 are “nametags,” which can either be vanilla or have some effect (eg double voter, no voter, deathbomb). i believe the exact ones are double vote, no vote, innocent scan, guilty scan, deathbomb (kills 2nd highest wagon when hanged), and self-oracle (gm posts all your info when peeked).

you don’t know tag by default. once per game you can peek to see your tag. your predecessor already peeked.

most but not all night actions swap the nametags around, so there’s some minor roleswapping happening, but our alignments all stay the same and the big powers like cop/doc/etc don’t swap around.

so far, we’ve lost our florist (fruit vendor ish role that swaps nametags), and your predecessor claimed the tag Harry Callahan (vanilla), as well as claiming the Florist visited her n1 and swapped her nametag.

Sabi claimed Alex Murphy (deathbomb) N1, snowy claimed Alex Murphy (deathbomb) D2, Sabi flipped as Alonzo Harris (guilty scan). technically we have no idea what all happened there, but the prevailing theory is that they were swapped n1 by the Bus Driver.

I think there’s been a couple other vanilla claims maybe but that would be it.

Hello Jamie! At this point you're my top townread. Someone that pushes that much emotion as you did back from the pub last night has to be town, and if not, well-done. Very well-done. I don't think I've seen anything scummy from my limited reading thus far so you're pretty clear.

Well, I am self-defecating to a fault. Yeah, that was a good game. I really enjoyed that, especially since I feel like the thinking was really happening.

We're due to leave for Seoul on the 9th and are still getting some planning done so mentally I will be focused on that AND physically away from the laptop as we get things done around the house. This six-week trip is going to either be fantastic or it's going to ruin my marriage! :)

Reference to a district review our school had about a dozen years ago. I was on the directions team preparing all the data in reference to school improvement. Morning meeting to lay out the day's schedule and classroom walkthrough we were given an opportunity to share our thoughts on our student population, strengths, needs, etc. The learning resource teacher talked about how many students perceived themselves and meant to say self-deprecating. No one batted an eyelash.

Anyway, all these years later I can't let it go.
