What do you think happened d1 and d2 and where in a general sense do you think we’re headed?

I'm not quite sure. I'm questioning my townread of snowy a little bit but mostly because that would make things a little easier to sort. If he is town, it's been town v town v kinda Chaqa for days, which is tough to get anything from. Chaqa voters probably look good for that reason, but I haven't put any of the pieces back together yet.

For my part.

I'm only scumreading Chaqa because of the discrepancy in when he allegedly peeked his nametag. I work better with facts that I can clearly see as being a contradictory. But subjective reads on peoples motives and "did they lie or tell the truth" are not easy things for me to work with.

Keep in mind that I was firmly trusting Chaqa for all of N1 until I saw that.

I'm mostly relying on the rest of the townies to help me figure this shit out. and I'll draw attention to things that I find weird or concerning.

That's a good place to start.

I'm personally inclined to believe Chaqa was just messing around with his nametag claim, though that's only because I have a lot of experience with Chaqa. I still think he's suspicious, and he should be made to clarify his claim at EoN or start of day.

Add his Vecna read to that pile too. I hate talking too much about the idea, but if he’s not got some kind of odd unique effect or action (PR, nametag shenanigans, whatever), then I don’t get what he’s doing this game. The lack of investment is palpable.

In particular this answer totally sucks absent swapping shenanigans involving him (not necessarily requiring him to have a power, but that someone interacted with him in some way). Never mind the idea that you can do stuff without having a vote (granted that it’s harder and more annoying), if he now claims he made the nametag thing up this is just atrocious.

That’s not even counting what Rumi has been rightly harping on about the supposed timing of Chaqa’s peek.

The man fell over, the light leaving his eyes.

What does POE mean?

It’s short for “Process of Elimination,” which is basically referring to a method of solving the game where, instead of trying to catch mafia, you correctly identify enough townies that you can simply indiscriminately kill all the people who aren’t identified as town. There comes a point in some games, usually after catching 1-2 mafia, where enough townies have been unanimously and correctly identified enough other townies that you can just vote off literally whoever’s left in whatever order and win, because your remaining margin of error is high enough to tolerate the remaining misses.

People often refer to “the POE” / “my POE” as shorthand for the pool of players that they are adamantly certain are town.

With that background in mind, what I mean is that sometimes games get stagnant around here after the town get an early lead (killing, say, 2 mafia on the first 3 days in a 13v4 setup like this one), because the town is over 90% to win just by killing everyone who isn’t obviously town. There’s not a lot left to solve so people just start checking out. I get a similar stagnant feeling where it’s a lot of the same people still invested in solving and a lot of the same people just observing, coasting, whatever you want to call it. But we obviously aren’t even close to having this thing solved, so it’s not that. It’s a different kind of stagnation that you might expect when the townies are on the wrong track and the mafia aren’t having to do anything but let them continue devouring each other.

It’s a different kind of stagnation that you might expect when the townies are on the wrong track and the mafia aren’t having to do anything but let them continue devouring each other.

So if were going around in circles, should we change tack and take a closer look at the people we may have townread or otherwise haven't actually been paying attention to as being scum. This includes me here.

Otherwise I don't really know what else to do, its not feeling like anything resembling progress at this point.
