This is how you make a case that two people are teammates without having to spend a daykill, which isn’t always as likely as snowy is today, to garner confidence.

I'm planning to reread Rdrivera shortly anyway.

Yes, flip = kill.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:02 pmOkay, i"m back, and I've kinda caught up on the thread, even if I'm not sure what to make of it. By the way, is flip a euphemism for kill as it seems in your statement, or does it have broader contexts than this?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 1:46 pm@ Rumi Tobari

I encourage you to join the Snowy wagon or the Ghug wagon.
I do not think Bona is a viable flip today.
I really do not want to flip Neon.
I believe this goes back to the origins of this game as a live-action party game, where everyone would be dealt an actual card, at the start of the game, with their role written on it. Then when someone was voted out, they would "flip" their card over to display their role.

Also I have a question of the context of the statement. You don't want to flip Neon, so you think she is town.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:13 pmYes, flip = kill.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:02 pmOkay, i"m back, and I've kinda caught up on the thread, even if I'm not sure what to make of it. But saying you don't think Bona is a viable flip, that means you suspect Bona to be scum?
Also, I'm likely to do the same thing as D1 where I avoid really committing to any wagon until the last hour or two.
By the way, you (Jamie) are currently the only person I will swear is town. It is the only stance I will firmly commit to. You feel like you're trying to solve everything. Also that I'm not green in your towniest-to-scummiest list. I know I'm town and can't actually convince anyone, especially with how flippant and blase I get about it when anyone attempts to scumread my behavior, but I really want to believe that if you were scum, you'd have me in the low end of green (because you'd know I wasn't) or the low end of red (to throw additional doubt onto me)

That's correct. I strongly feel Neon to be town.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:20 pmAlso I have a question of the context of the statement. You don't want to flip Neon, so you think she is town.
No. I do not particularly suspect Bona. He's null, possibly a townlean, for me right now.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:20 pmBut saying you don't think Bona is a viable flip, that means you suspect Bona to be scum?
You're somewhere in the middle. I've never encountered you before, but you seem earnest. I'd mark you as a very, very slight town-lean, but I'm not sure. Your constant apologies grated with me slightly but you seem to have toned that down so, that's good. I certainly don't want to vote for you any time soon. Keep going.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:20 pmBy the way, you (Jamie) are currently the only person I will swear is town. It is the only stance I will firmly commit to. Are you secretly British?
It's a very British trait to apologise frequently (and not always sincerely).

I want ghug as second highest wagon just in case snowy has my name tag.
The fact worcej chose neon (because she didn't want to answer his experience question) and not ghug is eyebrow raising

I strongly oppose the Neon wagon. I also think the President Eden vote on it is insincere, or a genuine error, since he quoted someone else's vote on Neon and this is the source of his vote on the bot.

It would not at all surprise me if the Bus Driver has your name tag.
Ghug has confirmed that he knows how to drive.

No, half-Japanese actually. Also It's mostly severe anxiety and self-esteem issues. What others thought is AtE and me being all "pity me" with relating alot of my experiences really wasn't intended as such. I have kind of a combo platter of mental disabilities and am bad at reading the room or really grasping that maybe its not approprate to talk about things at certain times.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:38 pmSorry to hear that.Rumi Tobari wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 2:33 pmI'm working on it. By the way, these comprehension issues can also manifest intellectually, not just soically, which is why I relied on GOTO until I was doing Java and had to learn how loops work. Its also why I have no very strong stances or reads on anyone; I read the page and see words, but I have extreme difficulty deriving meaning from them without explanations. (as opposed to a novel where there is an objective reality the writer wants us to interpret)

Re: MAFIA 75: TROUBLE AT THE PRECINCT [HIDDEN]
I have reviewed Rdrivera and I can make a few observations:
He has read the setup. He indicated on P.12 that he had a good understanding of the various name tag powers.
Says he "really likes" a post from Byz picking up on very minor semantics from President Eden:
Then when Bonatogether gives a different interpretation of Byz's post (on page 16), Rdrivera defends Byz and says he hopes Bona is joking. (I saw nothing to suggest Bona's post was a joke).
On page 21 Eden, Bona and Rdrivera continue to argue about this post from Byz.
P.49 Rdrivera gives Rumi a detailed explanation of the way the Name Tags work.
And then at the end of the phase we've got the EoD stuff already mentioned.
His N1 posts were mostly addressing criticism of his EoD play.
D2 he comes in advocating for a Bona wagon, and saying Eden and Snowy are bad wagons. But then he votes for Celaph who he had only mentioned once in the entire game prior to that (naked) vote.
P.162 Rumi has questioned the naked vote for Celaph. Rdrivera "answers" by talking some more about Bona but does not explain why he is voting for Celaph.
P.166 Rdrivera votes again for Celaph without explanation, having briefly voted for Chaqa. Bona asks him why he's voting for Celaph but he doesn't reply.
P.174 Rdrivera finally explains the vote for Celaph after he is asked by Ghug This was the third or fourth time Rdrivera had been asked about his Celaph vote, but apparently only Ghug is prestigious enough to merit a response, which is "He hadn't done a single thing I can remember".
My thoughts:
Rdrivera is among the minority of players who read the setup carefully and understood the name tags. If he is on the scumteam, they have probably already developed a good strategy around the name tags. The Deathbomb is probably in scum's possession in that case.
Rdrivera gave strong support to Byz/Snowy from early on, and his "many townpoints" remark in response to a relatively minor comment about semantics, was very weird.
Rdrivera's unexplained vote on Celaph, and the fact that he ignored requests to explain it until the almighty Ghug asked him, is also rather sketchy.
Rdrivera / Snowy / Ghug / ??? scumteam?

I absolutely cannot see how Byz's post is worth "many townie points" there.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 4:06 amI really like this post. Not so sure about Eden as I don't read him well, but many townie points to ByzByz wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 11:58 pmFor whatever reason, "I think I follow you" in this strikes me as scummy. Can't quite explain it, but it's too agreeable in a way that doesn't feel like it aims to solve. I'm usually pretty good at these feel reads.President Eden wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 11:37 pm
I think I follow you—you were thinking about proposing a plan that would force some action, which would trigger reactions from the other players that would allow us to sort.
As it happens, this sort of occurred; Byz voted you then decided your behavior was indicative of a newer town player, while I questioned your reasoning and haven’t stated my conclusion. What do you think about our two reactions?
Actually like this vote for more than just pressure.
Then when Bonatogether gives a different interpretation of Byz's post (on page 16), Rdrivera defends Byz and says he hopes Bona is joking. (I saw nothing to suggest Bona's post was a joke).
