Rumi besides the vote strategy, how would you like to play a day one? Since we currently have zero information (well except mafia because they know who isn't mafia) how do you go about that

Ideally, I'd want to figure out how to gain some amount of factual information before the vote. But I don't know if that's possible. It might be, but I'm not experienced enough with social situations (and have never played Mafia) to understand how.

No. I hadn't cottoned on to the fact that as town I'd want other people to know I'm town. and Sabi asked me how I'd approach Day 1. So while tying to be as non-indicative as possible I answered how I would approach any given game, rather than this one.

At that point I didn't really understand that scumchat is a thing scum had acess to or really grasp that scum are supposed to know who eachother are. I think I didn't learn scumchat was a thing that existed for another four or five pages before people kept making references to scumchat and I had to reference the rules topic

(okay that's a lie, I just took "scumchat exists" at face value and didn't bother checking the rules)

why does town feel the need to sell themselves so blatantly over a read that's really just not substantial?

The fact that the read isn't particularly subtstantial is why I've been rethinking my views on Eden as maybe possibly not understanding how any of this works or what anyone's personalities are.

I really like this post. Not so sure about Eden as I don't read him well, but many townie points to Byz

for me, the 'agreeableness is vaguely scummy' and especially the 'i am pretty good at these feel reads' set off a ton of alarm bells - what about it makes you like it?

I already answered to Eden, I can identify with the feeling about that specific way to start the phrase.

About the "I am pretty good thing", the vast majority of Web dip players have an oversized ego, doesn't set an alarm bell, it's NAI to me.

the ego is not the problem for me, but just the casual need to deliver self-meta in a really strange way (accuracy in a very specific type of read) that perfectly lines up with the read that he gives on eden.
