With the amount of comics that exist, my opinion would be that these characters (Superman, Captain America, Spiderman, ...) are predominantly cartoon characters.

I think those types of characters are totally out of the question. With that answer, I'd say more in the direction of a character that appeared in another media (maybe advertisement?) as a cartoon character but not in a movie. Or something that is known for their packaging (maybe in an action figure?) but had no movie as a cartoon.

Of course I could be wrong and if so, please tell me, but that's how I would understand the answer.

There is a bit to much focus on the warrior part. Our guy IS some kind of warrior, but his fight is not the main story of the movie.
