20 Questions - Game #7
The rules again are:
1. Only yes/no questions may be asked.
2. If the answer is unclear, questionmaster must clarify why.
3. One guess per person does not count against the total, but additional guesses by the same person do. After all 20 questions are up, three total guesses are allowed.
4. Please choose people/movie/TV/literary/video game/etc. characters that, if you were to throw a dart out the window, at least 50% of people hit would know this character.
5. Whomever guesses correctly takes over from the previous questionmaster. If they do not want to do it, they may choose who to pass the duty onto or just give it to the first volunteer.
6. If the questionmaster remains undefeated three times in a row, on the third time they must either pass it to a person of their choice, or the first volunteer takes over.

Re: 20 Questions - Game #7
Its a binary question (A or B), identical in function to a Yes or No question.Real or fictional?
That isn't a yes or no question.

Yes but that isn't how the game is played. You have to ask a single-ended binary question, not a double-ended binary question.
For "real or fictional" the effect isn't too problematic, but lots of other "A or B" questions could be gamed, or place the question master in an awkward position, especially if A and B are not the only possible results.
Potato, potato; potato.
Re: 20 Questions - Game #7
But what if it's neither?
(That question above isn't for the game master btw and shouldn't count for the 20 questions.)
Is that person female?
Re: 20 Questions - Game #7
Why don't we just let the gamemaster decide whether a question is appropriate, instead of the players chirping off against each other?
(That's not a question for the gamemaster either, BTW).

Re: 20 Questions - Game #7
Is the world this fictional person lives in similar to our world (with maybe just a very small changes)? (Like the main story of the history is the same with only minor changes to leaders, artists, etc.)

Re: 20 Questions - Game #7
Is he also a cartoon character? (Maybe from the era when 18 certificate movies were made into kids TV cartoons without anyone seemingly finding this odd, or maybe not)
Guess:
Is it Conan the Adventurer, Conan warrior without fear? He's more powerful than any man whose legend ever crossed the land or sea (allegedly)?
