Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
This should be enough information to be able to make guesses with a little bit of research after he answers the question.
Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
Yes, the killing(s) would have happened in America.
1. Not a Diplomacy player
2. Not a woman
3. Is a person that is living/has lived
4. Has killed someone/is commonly understood to have killed someone (illegally)
5. Is white
6. Does not wear job gloves. While not impossible, you would not associate them with gloves before thinking of many, many other things first
7. Not an important historical figure
8. Has been alive in the last 22 years (2000 or later)
9. American
10. Was not actually convicted of murder

Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
The answer and the summary bullet for #12 are in disagreement.
Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
Just wording it in exact accordance with the way the question was worded, but I'll change it.
No.

(Not Charles Manson, not George W. Bush, not Alec Baldwin, not O.J. Simpson, not Tiger King)
Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
I suppose you can answer the guess, but I didn't realize his car accident happened outside the US so I'm assuming the answer is no. Also thinking deeper, it's likely not someone known for being an actor/producer/director since OP had to look it up.
Possibly Tony Stewart? I feel like he's been in a movie
Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
We still have some questions, let's try to get a couple more of these in. Did quick research and chance it's a sports player? But Tiger King/Manson answers seem a lot better. (Also thought about people who have never been caught but Zodiac killer etc are unknown if they've been alive within past 20 years)
Would >50% of people know who they were 10 years ago?
Would >50% of people know who they were 10 years ago?
Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
I'll ask one more question as its either an obvious question, or so obviously dumb that people will pillory me for it.
Is the person they killed themself? Suicide is illegal in some places.

Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
No.
No.
Yes, and in fact, possibly slightly more.
No.
You guys are on the wrong track, focusing too much on the person being real, if that makes sense.

Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
Could you explain that comment a bit more, in light of Q&A #3? (Is a person that is living/has lived)
Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
No.
He was a real person but the fictionalized version of him is what is famous, as another giant hint.

Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
So this is a real white man involved in the movie industry...
but
It's the *fictional* character based on them that is famous...
but
That famous fictional version of this person has *not* been the subject of movies...
And
They've killed someone, and gotten away with it, but that's not a big deal.
This is puzzling.

Re: 20Q - Twenty Questions - Character Edition
Not sure what this means, but no.
On the right train of thinking, but no. I don't think Abagnale ever killed anyone
