I don't see scum motivation for yoak's statement. It was night. If he were in the discord, it would have have been explained to him, and he'd have a better response to being called out than confusedly stating his (correct) understanding that the mafia were the only ones that got the discord. "Hidden thread" referred to this thread, not the Discord. I didn't make this argument myself when it happened because I wanted to a) see how he'd respond and b) see if anyone else would make it.. Neither happened, so here we are.

I'm suspicious of rd because he made a post overtly claiming VT that didn't say he was 100% vanilla town confirmed, which has actually proved to be a pretty reliable tell for him.

Yes, it's silly, but there's very little to go on because we've barely had any posts and EoD1 was utterly uninteresting.

I find all three people that gave contextless opinions on me suspicious, and you're trying too hard, so those are good places to start, though I also don't really want to be punishing people for trying when there's so little trying going on.

Hey all. It's so nice to be talked about.

In just catching up and reading everything, I noticed someone joked about this being the lowest-posting game ever. That's a daunting prospect. We just got started and 10 pages? How much is typical by the end? It's also funny to me that someone suspected me because they saw me on here reading a bit. Um, yeah, several times per day trying to catch up and reread to find things that I may have missed. I'm still reading over old bits to see who people voted for the first round, etc. I don't know you follow this game without not only reading everything, but re-reading a lot to try to find threads. (But the again... first time. In our main game, I don't have to go back and read a lot of old press - but may first-timers who are serious-minded do.)

By the "hidden thread" I meant this one. At least in my display, the subject is listed as "M74 Game Thread - Law and Order [HIDDEN]". I did not know about it at first. Around the time (Monday, I think) that this game was going to start, I started frequently refreshing that regular thread that got everyone signed up, expecting that to morph into the game. It was until fairly close to deadline that I was hipped to this thread (probably "again" and I just missed it the first time) as well as being tipped that the mafia have an alternate channel on Discord that only they use for making their nighttime plans.

While my newb flailing far from conclusively proves anything, I can appreciate that if I saw it (now that I know what you mean) I would regard it as a reason to vote for me. It isn't because the info is rock solid or anything, but because there is so little data in the channel. We're still mostly guessing (and poorly.) What single player is there as good a reason for everyone to focus on except me? Even if I believed the person saying that was only 5% likely to have been mafia and that statement to have been a slip rather than newb floundering, do I actually have a better vote to make?

As to my own thoughts, I still see relatively little basis for guessing. You guys address in the thread that there are people who pointed me out and people who didn't. The mafia have a strong motive to do that. (Get them to focus on anyone who isn't us.) and the town folk have a strong motive. (We gotta find those folks and fast and here's an actual clue.) The mafia motive is a stronger one, so I'm most prone to be trustful of the measured responses and not the, "Look! Obvious Mafia!" posts. But that's pretty thin.

And finally, there is one argument against me bound to arise, now or later. "He wrote a harking term paper in this game." Yeah, I notice most people don't do that. I might have mentioned this in day 1 if I found the game in time to post in day 1. I've played with at least a couple of you. I assure you that even in Dip games , I'm every bit this annoyingly loquacious. I hear one of you yelling, "Preach!" I suspect that in most games I've played that I've been the most talkative player, and I've certainly played games in which over 50% of all press was mine.
