I hope I’m better at scum-hunting when it’s not mostly loud VT’s yelling at each other.
So far this game has not looked like loud VTs yelling at each other, but I think that is making things more difficult. I feel like everyone is treading lightly because it's a new setup and people are scared of the mechanics. It's still the same game though. You have to read people, which requires interactions and participation.

@y2k - you never answered my question about why you lumped Ezio (although Ezio answered for you). Also, how do you think the absence of VTs will help you?
i think this is a very townie post

We need to sort out this lump vote. I think we should eliminate anybody who has misinterpreted the rules. So this excludes Ezio, Squiggs and Jamie.
##UNLUMPVOTE Squiggs.
Also not Y2K after his vig performance last game (sorry Y2K).
This leaves 9 possibles. Thoughts?
take me out because i am not fully grasping all of the mechanics

why so? because he's not posting much?

could just be busy. i dont think his activity level dropped when he was scum last game?

LUMP

Squiggs - didn't interpret Ezio'z self vote. I guess he meant it as a vote which also puts him on 2.

I am talking about the lump because I think it is important that witches not get it. I am just trying to narrow the pool of potentials and not giving the extra vote to someone who misread the rules seems a decent way to go.

Yes I know you think your misread the rules rule and list is a good idea. My question was why you think it's a good idea? As I see it, there are two reasons you would take someone off your lump list:
A) you think they are scum
B) you think they won't be an effective scumhunter
Do either of these apply here?

soup is instead of a nk though. it might not be a bad idea. Ofcourse it becomes a worse idea since we might need some claiming at the lynch, which results in a double kill...but meh
I think if more than one witch is still alive, one can use the soup, and another can carry out the NK, no?
That was what i thought too.
##CallGM - clarify please
this is level 1 reading, but jamiet and squigs not really knowing soup rule could be town alignment. of course, people tend to ask questions to gm on public just for the looks of it, so they are not cleared yet; just noted

His posts have been shorter and concise. Also the main thing was his reaction to NDs vote. It's more about his tone than his activity level.

Ezio, read the rules. Your post #76 is flawed.
Rather than giving the post number it would be a lot more helpful to use the quote function to quote the post.
Rather than saying "it's flawed" point out why it's flawed.

@squigs 2 people are going to know every day if a scum was lynched:
The oracle because he and the pie-guy are going to visit the same person every night. This triggers both of their abilities so Oracle knows how many witches were alive at the start of each night.

There's also the guy who scans dead roles and he can scan each person we lynch to figure it out.

If we fuck up 2 days in a row then the vig will help us figure it out, but he won't tell us how we did until N2.
@Ezio - your logic in this post is flawed because the graverobber only gets to use his power once

Like that, Ezio?

@Vecna
If we could guarantee the vig would survive I'd totally agree with you. Problem is we can't. This guarantees we have an additional role gaining information after every lynch as opposed to relying on RNJESUS.

I'm not worried about giving mafia perfect claims because if anyone claims they're scum, period. If nobody can claim there's no worry.

The Pie man and Oracle should visit players alphabetically to ensure the oracle gets a proper scan off each night and so the pie man gets NK immunity.
Okay so since there isn't an alphabetical list, maybe they should go off of the list in the first post, the set up post. That would mean they should both visit Yav. And they should keep visiting him every night until he is dead. Then you go to the next alive player on that list, and so on.

The only drawback I can see to this is with the occultist. If the witches know who the Oracle visits, they can deduce who the priest visits, and this helps them find the priest.
Once again, publicly known visits are a bad idea since witches DO KNOW who get killed, and can easily fakeclaim any role if they know who is visited.
I think we should agree to no claims under any circumstances, which will prevent fake claims.

I don't know exactly how to vote lump, but ##lump vote rdrivera2005 the only sure thing I have at this point.

Vecna seems the only one that have figured out the game mechanics but it's NAI. I am pretty sure any claiming favours Mafia, even fake ones, as the witches will know the roles from the Nightkills and town will have no info as the graverobber is a one use power and it's probably best used later in the game.
I am OK giving Lump to rdrivera if he wants it.

##VOTE yavuzovic

I was very put off by his acolyte reveal suggestion. Initially I categorized it as bad logic coming from a townie. But as the day progressed, I see him lightly defend it while withholding other legitimate opinions, to the point where he says he'd probably vote for me but doesn't vote and gives no reason why he would vote. I'm suspicious.

And also if the Vig is dead we will never know if we missed two days in a row.

Dts play is getting better, but only after he was called out for it. Bozo is still a low poster, but so is Jamie and I like Jamie's tone less than Bozo. ##vote Jamie

I've been thinking about the gravedigger and when he should use his ability. I'm thinking probably our D2 Lynch target. The earlier he uses his ability, the more use he can get out of it. And if he dies earlier, then the ability would be wasted if he waits. I would say to use it on our D1 lynch target, but I think our D2 target will give a lot more information because there will be many more interactions and connections. Thoughts?

There is roughly 24 hours until day ends!

I will try to get a vote count out soon (though if anyone has an updated one, including lump, that would be great too.)
