EOD was quiet and then pretty busy. Maybe we did put scum under pressure?

C'mon Sabi he clearly did so to break the game of chicken and make people cast meaningful votes given how stagnant the EOD was. Do you actually think he did that hoping that the vote would end in a tie?BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 12:13 amRest in peace aaro.

This is the same Bona that self voted himself to death in the last minute when he was VT. Needless I say more.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 12:14 amC'mon Sabi he clearly did so to break the game of chicken and make people cast meaningful votes given how stagnant the EOD was. that time i was 1) mad and 2) i thought people would never get out of the tunnels on me. i also don't see how it's relevant or similar to this case.BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 12:16 amThis is the same Bona that self voted himself to death in the last minute when he was VT. And? How does that make this vote look more scummy? I'm not following your argument at all here. If anything it lessens the strength of the argument it was scummy.BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2022 12:16 amThis is the same Bona that self voted himself to death in the last minute when he was VT. I'm not trying to blame anyone at all but I really do want to say how much harder this game is on virtue of like half the game just not saying anything at all
Perhaps at night, perhaps not, but please I recommend everyone prepare to put some time into making posts in this game because that was not a good turn of events

Re: M1021 - Blessings of Lilia - GAME THREAD [hidden]
-- this is just a eod record / thoughts dump because i'm too lazy to make a separate doc, feel free to skip to the analysis post below --
starting this eod reread at eod-1:22, when celaph casts the first new vote in six hours(??) for aaro, making it maniac 3 - aaro 3 - bona, damo 2. he ranks aaro as his top scumread, but also includes Maniac, damo (who he questions), and Pyxxy. then nobody votes for another 45 minutes - if scum aren't afk here, then I think this points to them being comfortable with maniac as a lead wagon, meaning they were either bussing relatively hard or that maniac is town.
At this point, damo switches onto aaro but expresses a desire for another wagon (bona, later kak) to get started. tfb also suggests that kak/sabi is a plausible scum pairing. I also join the kakwagon. snowy and bona express disinterest, while tfb never actually joins the wagon.
at eod-:27, Maniac comes in and argues that jamie is scum keeping him around as a future miskill. He townreads his wagon and aaro, but mentions he could move onto a bona wagon. At this point nobody has voted bona in ~six hours, though, and it's not like Maniac's tied himself to a lot of strong opinions before, so the lack of opportunism definitely seems town-indicative here.
sabi mentions they don't like a jamiet flash wagon, which currently has one person on it. then nobody does anything for a while again (at this point the votes are 3 aaro - 2 kak - 2 damo - 2 maniac). Snowy suggests that scum are afk or not doing anything, as he doesn't really feel the presence of a scum actor.
With ten minutes left, bona unvotes to make a tie. maniac, as previously suggested, flips onto bona. sabi also switches to bona. with ~a minute left, me, TFB, and bona all jump onto aaro, making it 5-3(-2 damo), while aaro votes damo (interestingly, he could've forced a tie had he voted bona). damo votes bona at the very last second to make it 5-4.

Re: M1021 - Blessings of Lilia - GAME THREAD [hidden]
my main eod takeaways / questions:
- I think the way the EOD developed, as well as how he acted at EOD, is pretty town-indicative for Maniac. Scum were clearly at least comfortable with him in the lead. Additionally, he townread his main counterwagon and tried to start a new wagon before jumping back onto bona when it didn't gain traction, which seems consistent and not particularly interested in self-preservation.
- imo Kak is the most likely EOD wagon to actually have been scum. There was some vocal resistance to the wagon that seemed normal, but it was interesting that there wasn't as much interest in kak as a daykill in general compared to maniac, as I feel like there were similar lack of contribution arguments to be made for both of them. I'm especially interested in kak opinions/reads from TFB, whose response to the kakwagon was to pitch him as a teammate of sabi's and then otherwise ignore the wagon, and pyxxy, who was at least +1ing stuff at EOD and seemed to suspect maniac for not caring as much. I think they (and also sabi) could be plausible teammates if kak flips scum.
- for all the blatant self-preservation yesterday, damo didn't seem especially interested in doing it today? He tries to flash kak before moving onto the second cw (bona) over aaro at basically EOD. Don't think it's indicative of alignment so much as how threatened he felt. @damo - you mentioned that you'd prefer bona over kak at around ten hours before EOD; how did your read on them evolve between then and you trying to flash kak?
- @sabi - did you specifically vote bona just because he tied the vote, or was there some underlying reason? As far as I can tell the vote seems kind of OMGUSy for a deadline vote, since most of your last few interactions with bona was arguing with him over his characterization of your gameplay. Also, why were you so concerned about there being a jamiet wagon, and how do you feel about kak?
