Pyxxy I think? I'm still chewing on him
Yeah, my switch was based solely on Maniac's observation. Maybe I'm wrong about Maniac too and Pyxxy is bussing. I dare Pyxxy not move!
:!:

But what if I switched to Bona?
That would be fine. 8-)

- Aaro has been weird since day one. Lots of weird oog excuses for not being around but pops up and says he is here but also doesn't say much or anything. All very cotton candy
Fair enough. I've tried to put time into the game so I don't feel guilty about signing up and being too busy, but it's been hard to put enough energy/critical thinking in.
I think it's okay if you stop apologizing for "not having enough time/attention for the game".

If eventually we DK you for not helping town enough, you can die peacefully knowing that the rest of town is just trying their hardest to win.

Last game Flum spent like 3 days saying "oh I'm a sub, oh I don't have time to catch up if you're just going to kill me today, oh golly gee willikers batman" and it worked (on me at least) to where when he ended up flipping scum, it made me pretty suspicious of anyone who repeatedly leans on not having enough time for multiple day phases.

So uh it's cool, you're busy, we get it. Contribute when/where you can, accept that people might still critique your "effort", but concentrate on work for now because if you don't get off'd before mid/late game, we'll need your focus then.
Noted. It was honestly just grating when I said moving up the start date was bad for me but I’d be willing to do it if most people wanted it to then be called out for not playing “enough”.

Yesterday I was mostly Unvote and then it was on you and Maniac. Your wagon had damo on it. Again, neither are vanity. Wrong again. Read Bona.

Damo was started by kak and the reasoning behind it didn't make sense.

Aaro was based off his reads list which was fine to me because it was based off D1 low info. Nothing about his reads list was scummy.

Both wagons had scum motivation.

I wasn't going to join wagons that had those vibes.
Notable wagon pusher and creator damo. Still counts.

It was a fine wagon, for what it was.

It was strange and that's what counts in d1. What scum are doing hasn't been established.

How can both wagons have scum motivation when there's only 3 scum in total
His reads list wasn't strange at all. I kept rereading it and nothing was strange. It seemed on par for any low info day 1 reads list. I was the one who asked him for reads list. It wasn't random.

Anyway Your the same person who misread durga and thought she was strange. Maybe you have a perception problem Bona.

Yes there's 3 scum but the way they came to be and died was weird. If scum were being wagon, would you not expect it to be more dynamic. The wagons were not moving for most of eod1. It was weird.
Maybe you could read the posts that explained why it was weird? Read, sabi.

At least I'm doing things this game. Better to be actively wrong than passively right - which gives you more information, moving forward?

They can't be both scum-driven or motivated because there simply aren't enough scum around to do it.

I've just gone back and re-read some of Maniac in M73 last game, and compared it to this game, and I just don't feel the same level of investment?
one reason why people don't like meta reads is that players tend to naturally vary how they play between games, so you get a lot of noise when you look at things this way.

like if you read how maniac played m72 as town it'd probably be more similar

snowy, can you explain the rdr - aaro connection more / why you think the rdr nightkill is so incriminating for aaro specifically beyond rdr scumreading aaro?

In general, I wasn't particularly confident on any scum read yesterday. I was mentally debating between aaro/damo and then damo/Durga. I voted Damo over aaro first because while I wasn't sure which one I found more scummy, I knew that I would much rather have a close and contested vote than a runaway wagon.

I think my vote on Durga and subsequent message are rather telling in why I voted Durga over Damo. It wasn't that I reevaluated Durga and found her to be scummier than I thought, but rather I re-evaluated Damo and found him to be slightly townier than I thought. Hence my comment that I was less confident in Damo and follow up and specifically why I was less confident in damo.
did you consider going back to aaro when you switched your vote the last time, and if you did, what was the thought process there?
Good question. My instinct is that I didn't, but now I'm asking myself why the hell didn't I.
feeling way better about celaph after this sequence

It's more of a "I dunno how it couldn't be the case that aaro isn't scum"

But one implies the other I suppose

aaro, did you ever explain how you came to the conclusion that yesterday was probably TvTvT? You don't townread damo independently of that idea and you were also having doubts about it earlier in the day so I'm curious where that came out of

It seems like the smart thing to do as scum. Maybe I’m giving a scum day chat too much credit but if I were scum, that’s what I would try to do.

Interesting. I'm fairly certain that you are referencing my moderate sized post responding to Jamiet. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In which case, a great number of people were absent on N1. I did not point out every single one of these individuals as being scummy for it. What is your immediate thought on this?

Further, you have been referencing your real life commitments throughout the thread, yet your response indicates that your impetus for feeling apologetic is recent, and based on outside commentary (mine and Jamiet to be specific) than any innate concern. Would you say that this is a fair statement?

Has it occurred to anyone that Sabi might be scum?

Discuss
Yes it has occurred to me, and I don't think so. I've heard a number of people comment that Sabi feels disengaged or is not particularly interactive and while I think their posting style has certainly changed substantially from last game I don't find them scummy.

I believe their comment that they were moving in and out of meetings around EoD. It's a plausible explanation for both why they think they might come back and thus are comfortable voting Maniac then and why they didn't come back. They also previously expressed townreads on Durga/Aaro and skepticism over Damo's wagon, it makes sense to me why they ended up off wagon.

I don't agree with all their reads, but I think they are coming to them from a towny perspective. They are commenting on the major points of discussion, drawing conclusions from them, and explaining those conclusions. And I can follow that whole process in a way that makes sense to me.
