@BesharamSabi - you’re background colour on the bot is green. Typing in green makes it hard for people to see. Perhaps you could differentiate scum and town by underlining and bolding. Please and thank-you.

In general, I wasn't particularly confident on any scum read yesterday. I was mentally debating between aaro/damo and then damo/Durga. I voted Damo over aaro first because while I wasn't sure which one I found more scummy, I knew that I would much rather have a close and contested vote than a runaway wagon.

I think my vote on Durga and subsequent message are rather telling in why I voted Durga over Damo. It wasn't that I reevaluated Durga and found her to be scummier than I thought, but rather I re-evaluated Damo and found him to be slightly townier than I thought. Hence my comment that I was less confident in Damo and follow up and specifically why I was less confident in damo.
did you consider going back to aaro when you switched your vote the last time, and if you did, what was the thought process there?
Good question. My instinct is that I didn't, but now I'm asking myself why the hell didn't I.

Maybe I missed this somewhere. Snowy, what are your feelings on Bona rn?
If his dad were here I'd be advocating for child uh, corpore, uh a stern talking to
But probably town
Re: why I'm asking, snowy, sorry if not a perfect answer I was already writing some stuff up, basically I'm trying to develop a better read on Bona

Has Bona ever been scum / have you been in a game with scum!Bona? I've still got some free time to skim a previous mafia game.

I thought the D1 fight with Durga was weird+annoying. Following up by fighting TFB...that's when I started to go, "two fights in two days is quite unlike Bona from last game". But if Bona just does this sometimes, then, well, yeah.

So I think I'll stick on Maniac. I should be around for EOD today, barring a surprised AYCE sequel.
i've only been scum once before. Here is my ISO for the game. There's even a semi-argument with kgray and bungo that you can read.

i've had blowups with boat man before that went largely the same way. i believe this is the first time i've had two big arguments back to back.

This is largely the flip side of my play from last game. I have a tendency to get tunnel vision, which sometimes works (on celaph from last game), but sometimes doesn't (durga this game). It's the same impulse.

If someone put a gun to your head and said to vote outside of Maniac, who would it be?

This someone is extremely unfair and still has the gun posed at your noggins after you gave an answer. Who's your alternative then?
By process of elimination, not damo aaro snowy (you) sabi kak celaph llama.

That leaves Jjmjj, Bona, TFB.

Gun to my head, just on feelings, I would pick TheFlyingBoat.

In answer to someone’s question; I never saw your vote.

My eod strategy was to say I wasn’t going to be on and then appear at last minute to disrupt any close vote scum had engineered. There was still time for others to vote after I thought I was tying it.
@Maniac: Did you decide to use this strategy before the game started? Or did you decide to do this at a certain point in the game? (if you remember)
No, I rarely plan anything. I decide on the plan just before I said I would be awol.

Yes, and I think this isn't a solveable question because they don't interact with anyone and they vote for vanity wagons
Wrong. I am interacting and also it's not vanity wagons. The wagons eod1 were trash. No one gave an answer for damo wagon, Durga was town in my eyes, and aaro wagon made no sense.

Here I am parked on Maniac.

Read Bona.

Apologies. Was intending to have a light joke at the expense of people making the text bigger. All my text will be (at least) normal sized from here on out.

No worries, at least in your case it was evident that something was there even if it was tiny.

Past games we've seen literally invisible text.

This is actually a pretty interesting skim. Bona, do you feel like you've changed the way you play the game since M64? Regardless of alignment.

You have now barely interacted with people, pardon me.

Damo and aaro wagons had reasons behind them? I don't understand why you say they don't.

Yesterday you spent the whole day on vanity wagons. I haven't checked today's votes.

Cool. No sweat.

Followup. Do you think mafia did manage to engineer something at EOD D1 or are you more in the DeathLlama8 camp of thinking that scum was content with the wagons at around ~3 hours out?

Yesterday I was mostly Unvote and then it was on you and Maniac. Your wagon had damo on it. Again, neither are vanity. Wrong again. Read Bona.

Damo was started by kak and the reasoning behind it didn't make sense.

Aaro was based off his reads list which was fine to me because it was based off D1 low info. Nothing about his reads list was scummy.

Both wagons had scum motivation.

I wasn't going to join wagons that had those vibes.

I was mafia that game, not alien 8-)

I've changed more from a VCA-based understanding to weight interactions more heavily, as town. I also post more often with a lower word count per post. That's the first game in that category, and I think that's become slightly more accentuated? I've also gotten into more fights.

Not sure how I can say regardless of alignment when that's my only scum game lol.

Notable wagon pusher and creator damo. Still counts.

It was a fine wagon, for what it was.

It was strange and that's what counts in d1. What scum are doing hasn't been established.

How can both wagons have scum motivation when there's only 3 scum in total

Jamiet also thought the wagons sucked eod.

He ended hopping his votes around.

I don't hop my votes around. Yall have played with me for like what 6 games now. I don't jump around with my votes and they are usually static.

His reads list wasn't strange at all. I kept rereading it and nothing was strange. It seemed on par for any low info day 1 reads list. I was the one who asked him for reads list. It wasn't random.

Anyway Your the same person who misread durga and thought she was strange. Maybe you have a perception problem Bona.

Yes there's 3 scum but the way they came to be and died was weird. If scum were being wagon, would you not expect it to be more dynamic. The wagons were not moving for most of eod1. It was weird.

If damo is scum, I think we can safely assume that there's 1 or 2 scum in the last-second cascade onto Durga (snowy, jamie, DL, aaro). Of these, I rank them jamie > snowy > DL > aaro. Observant people would notice that this towniness ranking is essentially the same as the order in which they moved, and this is because I believe that the initial move was towny, but later movers (DL, aaro) had strange given motivations.

If damo is town, then once they saw the pile-on start they did not care. Either possible kill was town. However, blending in with the herd makes sense - thread momentum was behind the Durga kill. I think we can assume about one mafia would make the move. Again, snowy and jamie feel honest to me at this point in time, so this points again to DL and aaro.

I have a hard time reading DL, and aaro already has some steam.

##vote aarodactyl
Why was switching a 7-5 to a 8-4 with a minute to go scummy? At that point, either Durga was dying or there was going to be a tie.
There was no momentum for damo. You were at the tail end of the pile, with Maniac making 1 vote for damo before you. Using the quoting for exact time trick, there were only 20 seconds in between his vote and yours, and so while it's not impossible that you saw the vote, I'm not sure it's likely.
I was refreshing constantly saw it, immediately voted. I could be wrong but I think my vote was only the vote and then justified it in the next post.
