Can you explain why you town read every single late Durga voter? I'm of the opinion scum was certainly in the late pile on when they realized Durga was a possible kill target and sought to take advantage of that.

DL: I believe his story that his late vote was to avoid a tie. I lean town but less so than the above 3

aaro: Again I believe the late vote was tie avoidance. If he is scum he wasn't "saved" he got lucky. Slight townlean but again less so the the first 3.

Fair enough. I've tried to put time into the game so I don't feel guilty about signing up and being too busy, but it's been hard to put enough energy/critical thinking in.

I think it's okay if you stop apologizing for "not having enough time/attention for the game".

If eventually we DK you for not helping town enough, you can die peacefully knowing that the rest of town is just trying their hardest to win.

Last game Flum spent like 3 days saying "oh I'm a sub, oh I don't have time to catch up if you're just going to kill me today, oh golly gee willikers batman" and it worked (on me at least) to where when he ended up flipping scum, it made me pretty suspicious of anyone who repeatedly leans on not having enough time for multiple day phases.

So uh it's cool, you're busy, we get it. Contribute when/where you can, accept that people might still critique your "effort", but concentrate on work for now because if you don't get off'd before mid/late game, we'll need your focus then.

Has Bona ever been scum / have you been in a game with scum!Bona? I've still got some free time to skim a previous mafia game.

I thought the D1 fight with Durga was weird+annoying. Following up by fighting TFB...that's when I started to go, "two fights in two days is quite unlike Bona from last game". But if Bona just does this sometimes, then, well, yeah.

So I think I'll stick on Maniac. I should be around for EOD today, barring a surprised AYCE sequel.

+1 that this isn't a solvable question but I would also say that I don't think we need to spend a bunch of time figuring them out right now.

I like that they're willing to switch up their posting style. It does of course mean that I am going to keep them as a null for a lottttttttt longer than I probably would have otherwise.

But if it helps them play better, especially as town, then it's a good thing for town in the long run.

If it's a ruse to avoid dropping scum tells, well, shrug. We'll get them eventually. And arguably it still helps us as town in these first couple of days. (that and if I stop wall posting that is...)

I've just gone back and re-read some of Maniac in M73 last game, and compared it to this game, and I just don't feel the same level of investment?

There's a significant difference which is Jçmçç claimed to scan Maniac as guilty in M73, so there's was a much louder, clearer, direct contingent working and the succeeding in DKing Maniac, which prompted posts like this:

All the M73 posts feel much more active (and defensive for obvious M73 reasons). I'm not getting the same vibe from Maniac. But maybe like Sabi, Maniac is playing town differently in this game?

In fact I already kinda tried to ask if he was playing differently this game, but he keeps not seeing that this question is for him.

In answer to someone’s question; I never saw your vote.

My eod strategy was to say I wasn’t going to be on and then appear at last minute to disrupt any close vote scum had engineered. There was still time for others to vote after I thought I was tying it.

@Maniac: Did you decide to use this strategy before the game started? Or did you decide to do this at a certain point in the game? (if you remember)
