Alright, well a council member is telling me that my reason for leaving the council is revisionist history, and then is using my said reason for leaving the council as a key peice of evidence to say that I am also now revising how the day went because I am scum and that it was all concocted out of evil purposes.

I guess since this goes against what dargorygel asked I am unable to discuss how you conduct yourself on the council or how it made me feel or how the council disfunctions in general. So I will just let you win this argument since youve decided to take it here

It just quite feels like any stance I take must as a rule be met with vehement and vicious rebuttal on any issue, going back several games. That no one respects or cares about my reads, even when I feel i've been on a stretch of very good performances going back to M55.

If you had your way with Blamp, he would have been yeeted out here without discussion before towning up and allowing discussion. It's not about you having scumreads, it's how you push them.

You often have good reads (not every time, but more often then not tbh) and I've lauded you for that before. It's the way you push them and bullhorn your way through is inherently scummy and you've literally used that as a scum tactic as well so very suspicious.

If you are the doc, this is the second game where you've had to reveal yourself as PR to stop suspicion when it easily could have been avoided if you switched your approach imo.

I got a bit too stubborn on it having to be Blamp, sure. But I wasn't ONLY advocating for Blamp. I was pushing the pool of you, Blamp, worcej, and rivera. Any of those would have been fine - I was very annoyed at those bringing wagons on Sabi, RHK, myself, or Bona up.

I'm not really sure how else to approach these situations when the posts I do write that are analysis-based are hand waved away and ignored. It's a catch-22.

at 18 minutes out you were lost in the circumstances just like all of us. And I didnt cause any implosion I made a case on RHK and you came in the thread saying reading was a waste and you dont beleive in it and then 5 people told you that RHK was worth a look and by end of phase you voted on RHK to save sabi I assume.
Whatever the case you got swept up in the RHK wagon like many people did and you did capitulate on that in some ways, which I dont think makes you scum but it certainly doesnt exonerate you from being part of the very implosion you wanna claim is all my fualt

It’s a pedantic point admittedly but “revisionist” suggests he intentionally spun what happened to fit a new agenda, whereas I think whatever errors he’s made are faulty memory or personal bias.

Partially I had to make a devil's choice between Sabi and RHK, which in the end I would have gone with RHK. Unfortunately Sabi's wagon pulled ahead.

My view of the game was that we had four days before LYLO to clear our Flum, Blamp, worcej, and rivera.

We now have three days before LYLO to clear out Flum, worcej, and rivera.

I've come around on Blamp, and while he's still possible scum, he isn't a priority anymore. I am capable of updating my reads - I've done so many times this game.

But I also am capable of digging my heels in when I feel like we NEED to do something.

It's how I caught both jasnah and snowy in the game I was Cop.

If I had dug my heels in on Donny last game, town might not have lost.

Maybe I need to decorate it in nice words and walls of text, but I don't feel like my results are invalidated due to my methods.

Because you walking back on things is suspicious to me, and it makes me update my reads, because I am not an absolutist.

My M.O. in mafia has always been to establish town reads, defend them vehemently, and vote everyone else out, starting with those I find most likely to be scum.

I have a real problem with being misunderstood. Both in that people often misunderstand me, because I don't think I phrase things the way most people would (which I don't really know how to fix), and that when I am misunderstood, I often view it as on purpose, due to a number of things that have influenced me in my life. It's especially bad in text form, because I rely a lot on facial expressions and voice tone to read feelings and to relay my own.

On other things, we should probably just talk after the game.
