I remember Lamp hard pushing Maniac all day based on Maniac’s defense of celaph. If Maniac is mafia then Lamp is basically in the clear if you ask me. If Maniac is town then that play perfectly fits what you’d expect mafia to want to do in that situation, which is concede celaph’s demise and try to drag as many townies down with celaph as possible.
That forms the basis of my read.

if the day ends up just being a celaph runaway wagon, we gain next to no information. the Durga runaway wagon last game killed the momentum of the game, basically. yesterday I was basically doing whatever I could to make other options viable so the day would be worthy of discussion and analysis.BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 3:36 amSo blamp why were you being so defensive over celaph during the start of d2
in retrospect, i feel like the scum are going to be the people who encouraged me and my ideas. if maniac is town, scum will have pointed at my arguments and been like "hey, this guy might be smart!" that way they don't have to get their hands dirty directly. i'm hoping that i gave the scum some hope that on a reread will be obvious they tried to propogate

what do you mean? it wasn't effective at all and accomplished nothing other than giving me bragging rights. the council itself did zero. How was it a winning strat?BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 5:02 amBlamp why did you stop doing the town council thing? It was a pro town and winning strategy last game?
in my head i'm still figuring out my core of people I trust, and letting those people influence my decisions

because in the scenario Chaqa being lazy and continuing to not do something people asked him to do because he doesn't feel it's worth his while connotes to me that he's not actively trying to avoid suspicion and therefore less likely to be scum. scum are more likely to give in to social pressuresBesharamSabi wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 5:09 amWhy is this sus? Decision trees are important aspect of Mafia. It helps figure out all the avenues of the game from every kill decision.BusinessLamp wrote: ↑Wed Mar 02, 2022 2:57 pmhonestly a bit sus to me that chaqa gave into the pressure of people asking him to do the "what if celaph is scum" "what if celaph is town" analysis instead of just continuing to be lazy LOL

Read blamp total tone change irt celaph.
Look at the vote count when he changed his vote.
None of his actions and behavior makes sense for a member of town who was pushing for a wagon on a player
I still don’t get it
pls elaborate or point me to previous post where you have

It has to be taken in conjunction with the followingBesharamSabi wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 3:32 pmBecause what is the scum motivation to hammer their Godfather the first 16 hours of a new day?
-It's an act with no real meaning -- damo knows that a majority of people aren't going to follow suit and hammer.
-damo doesn't even keep his vote there all day.
To me the post can easily be attributed to scum theater. Since damo switched his vote back to celaph at the end that's far less likely, but it's not like damo endvoting has any real expected impact. If anything a post like that is going to make people have a reactionary "no, we're still exploring other ideas!"
again i'm not sus on damo but it's irresponsible to look at stuff like that so narrow-mindedly

uhhh brain he's just saying this to lie and imply that he's relieved he's not scum again. why would it be anything else?brainbomb wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 5:16 am
One more thought for the night
Celaph was scared to read role pm but sees hes godfather and realizes he doesnt need to do much day 1 and might get cop scanned so hes “good”
additionally this tells us hes good because his scum partners are also good at being scum and thus hes good.
discuss if you agree with these points because I think this might rule out some team compositions if celaph is good with what he saw and if it was like pyxxy, sabi, business I dont think he even says this

i said dad not daddy. this is important distinction LOL plzBesharamSabi wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 5:22 amReading blamp day 2,
I don't understand why he went from "brainbomb accept pyxxy as towncore" at start of day 2 to being like "daddy brain we need to vote out pyxxy" by end of D2.
All over +1ing posts?
This seems like a wild escalation.
In b4 Bona ask me what is the scum motivation for this.
my heat on pyxxy was escalated to an extra degree in efforts to put pressure on someone new who might have a more telling reaction if it seems like they're very obviously caught. I tried to make my tone in that interaction as authoritative as possible in order to elicit the biggest response from pyxxy to get the most info. His response was pretty emotional, and I'm hoping someone smarter than me can tell me what to think of it LOL.
and you saying it's all over +1'ing posts is a misrepresentation. My pressure on pyxxy came from what I directly cite in all of those posts, him attributing false reasoning to supporting a TFB wagon. You should know this since you're apparently looking at every single one of my posts trying to nitpick reasons why I'm scum rn
