And from my perspective, this fits more of Chaqa's town playbook than being an openly stupid scum trying to see if his team's RB hit the cop or JOAT, of which only a couple would know (this is based on my understanding the doctor will never receive an RB message because they'll never know if they were needed or not, per my question @ Bob during the signup thread)

OK so reading up on JOAT, are we sure JOAT didn't kill snowy and mafia kill was saved by the doc/roleblocked by whomever?

We cannot be sure of anything. Quick thoughts are these possibilities:

The JOAT and scum could've killed the same target.
The JOAT could've not fired and scum shot snowy.
The scum could've withheld their NK and JOAT fired at snowy (granted - HIGHLY unlikely)
The JOAT could've tried to shoot anyone and got RB'ed.

In regards to Maniac: I read his position more about protecting a town read, as even he has stated. Also, I find the explanation on where his vote landing to be valid, especially for a D1 vote. I use the same logic usually for D1: it's more about who I don't want to die than who I think should die since I have no real information to process beyond the spew of shit that is D1. I see that you're now somewhat on that same conclusion, but why only null for Maniac instead of town?

In regards to ghug: I'll have to re-read and see if I reach the same conclusion. I had similar ~vibes~ in last game and that turned out to be wrong. My take on ghug is he makes noise and kinda stirs the 'game pot' for awhile and then drops analysis gems infrequently in later states of the game. He is typically the most vocal at questioning/countering people's reads than presenting his own unique takes, which fits in the 'not taking a lead' description you bring up.

Whither Maniac: He's null because I've realised one of my main reasons for scumreading him was not as well-founded as I thought it was, but he hasn't done much which makes him appear town to me either, as of yet, although I liked his slight increase in serious participation.
