So far, my belief is you think he's doing it only because he should've known about the RB mechanics and his reason when caught was shit (still haven't looked that up). Am I missing anything?

I was actually seeing if Damo would ask me the question you just asked me.

On Maniac it was mostly to do with his determined protection of Celaph and his pledge to murder anyone who tried to flip Celaph - and his repeated scumread of Chaqa yet, when it came to the crunch, being totally unwilling to vote Chaqa. However, in recent pages, Maniac has addressed that and, moreover, I am now townreading Chaqa, so I am moving on from that position and Maniac is back to null for me, even though he appears to be voting me.

I do think that Ghug is scum. He's just a bit off. He didn't shitpost D1 as much as he usually does, he seems oddly detached, all his posts are snide little responses to things, he's not trying to take the lead on anything, he's not had any really big exchanges with anyone, it's all just little bits.

In regards to Maniac: I read his position more about protecting a town read, as even he has stated. Also, I find the explanation on where his vote landing to be valid, especially for a D1 vote. I use the same logic usually for D1: it's more about who I don't want to die than who I think should die since I have no real information to process beyond the spew of shit that is D1. I see that you're now somewhat on that same conclusion, but why only null for Maniac instead of town?

In regards to ghug: I'll have to re-read and see if I reach the same conclusion. I had similar ~vibes~ in last game and that turned out to be wrong. My take on ghug is he makes noise and kinda stirs the 'game pot' for awhile and then drops analysis gems infrequently in later states of the game. He is typically the most vocal at questioning/countering people's reads than presenting his own unique takes, which fits in the 'not taking a lead' description you bring up.

I think what Sabi is mentioning wrt Maniac is when I pointed out that despite desperately wanting to kill you and declaring so multiple times, when given the option to do so, maniac declined for a wagon that was lower down his priority list at EOD and his explanation of the action made zero sense

Chaqa, before the game, was discussing the set up for this game with me and Eden and Demon since they were reviewing it for Bob. He talked about the roleblock feature. Since Chaqa is part of the kkkouncil.

Yes because this type of roleblock feature hasnt been the norm for a while now so someone, who isn't aware of the new set up, would have said oh wait I was roleblocked and thus putting themselves as pr.

And yes I do think Chaqa is brazen enough to do this as scum. His excuse when he got caught was 100% cap.

in what scenario does it work as a scum play? say scum purposely roleblocked like, me or pyxxy for optimal chance that we’d make a mistake as PR and claim to be roleblocked since we are newer. If it works and a PR is outed, Chaqa gets insta-eliminated by the vote, and the PR is likely doc saved or something. It’s not a good trade for scum, imo. So I don’t think the motivation is as simple as you seem to
